Psalm 20:7 NIV84
Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.
Hebrews 13:6 NIV84
So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?”
Intro:
God Takes The Initiative.
Philippians 2:13 (NIV84) for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.

We were created to have a loving relationship with God.

You were Created for Eternity.
Matthew 6:31–33 NIV84
So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
The story of Jesus calming the storm is a classic. Picture the disciples terrified in a boat as waves crash around them. Jesus, unfazed, slept through it all! When they woke Him, He simply said, 'Peace, be still.' The storm ceased, and the disciples were left in awe. This reminds us that even when life’s storms seem chaotic, God is not only present but also in control. We can lean into Him with the same confidence that He can whisper peace to our chaos!
Once, during a family road trip, we got hopelessly lost. After what felt like hours, my dad, while trying to read a map, joked, 'Don’t worry, I’m sure we’ll find our way. Just think of it as God leading us on an unexpected adventure!' With that light-heartedness, we all laughed, and soon after, we found our way back on track. It reminded me that even when we think we’re off-course, God is steering the wheel of our lives, guiding us through the twists and turns we don’t expect.
