Ps 135 is an exhortation to praise the Lord.

Immediately it calls on Gods people to praise Him

Psalm 135:1–2 “Praise the Lord! Praise the name of the Lord, give praise, O servants of the Lord, who stand in the house of the Lord, in the courts of the house of our God!”
God is worthy of our praise. Gods people are a praising people. As we reflect on who God is, the only response is to praise Him.
Next the Psalmist tells us why we should praise Him, not only that we should. There are reasons why we should praise Him.
Psalm 135:3–4 “Praise the Lord, for the Lord is good; sing to his name, for it is pleasant! For the Lord has chosen Jacob for himself, Israel as his own possession.”
We are to praise the Lord, for He is good. He is the personification of goodness. We are to sing to His name because it is a pleasant experience.
Israel was commanded to praise Him because the Lord had chosen Jacob for himself. And Israel for His own possession. This was a justifiable reason to Praise God for.
Deuteronomy 9:4–5 ““Do not say in your heart, after the Lord your God has thrust them out before you, ‘It is because of my righteousness that the Lord has brought me in to possess this land,’ whereas it is because of the wickedness of these nations that the Lord is driving them out before you. Not because of your righteousness or the uprightness of your heart are you going in to possess their land, but because of the wickedness of these nations the Lord your God is driving them out from before you, and that he may confirm the word that the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.”
Psalm 135:5–7 “For I know that the Lord is great, and that our Lord is above all gods. Whatever the Lord pleases, he does, in heaven and on earth, in the seas and all deeps. He it is who makes the clouds rise at the end of the earth, who makes lightnings for the rain and brings forth the wind from his storehouses.”
We are to praise the Lord for He is great. Because He is above all gods.
Deuteronomy 6:4 ESV
“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.
Exodus 20:3–5 ESV
“You shall have no other gods before me. “You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me,
Psalm 135:8–12 ESV
He it was who struck down the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and of beast; who in your midst, O Egypt, sent signs and wonders against Pharaoh and all his servants; who struck down many nations and killed mighty kings, Sihon, king of the Amorites, and Og, king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan, and gave their land as a heritage, a heritage to his people Israel.
We are to praise Him for He struck down all the first born of Egypt. The price paid to purchase their redemption. We are to praise Him because He sent signs and wonders, against all the gods of Egypt. We are to praise because He defeated all the kings of the Canaanites. We are to praise Him because He gave us their land as a heritage to Gods people.
Psalm 135:13–14 ESV
Your name, O Lord, endures forever, your renown, O Lord, throughout all ages. For the Lord will vindicate his people and have compassion on his servants.
We are to praise Him because He is eternal, uncreated. He is Unchanging, Hes always the same. A God who mutates and changes would not truly be God.
We are to praise Him because He will vindicate his people from all charges and accusations. We are to praise Him because He will have compassion on us.
Psalm 135:15–18 ESV
The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of human hands. They have mouths, but do not speak; they have eyes, but do not see; they have ears, but do not hear, nor is there any breath in their mouths. Those who make them become like them, so do all who trust in them.
We are to praise Him because He is not like to idols. Unlike them He speaks. He sees everything.
Proverbs 15:3 ESV
The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good.
We praise Him because He hears us. He is the living God
Isaiah 59:1 ESV
Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save, or his ear dull, that it cannot hear;
Psalm 135:19–21 ESV
O house of Israel, bless the Lord! O house of Aaron, bless the Lord! O house of Levi, bless the Lord! You who fear the Lord, bless the Lord! Blessed be the Lord from Zion, he who dwells in Jerusalem! Praise the Lord!
The psalm finishes once again with a resounding appeal to praise the Lord. The house of Israel, the house of Aaron, the house of Levi. You who fear the Lord. Bless the Lord! All those who dwell in Jerusalem are commanded to praise Him also.
