Pray:

Something to pass along:

Heirloom: a valuable object that has belonged to a family for several generations.
Common Examples: Jewelry, land, weapons, quilts, seeds, furniture, recipes, timepieces, cookware
After church a few weeks ago, I bought a Smithey Cast Iron Skillet. When buying it the previous owner said that it was a great pan that I could pass down from generation to generation. Since I was purchasing this pan from someone who was younger than I was 2 things crossed my mind:
If I were to pass away, I don’t know if any of my kids are sentimental enough to be like, “I really want dad’s cast iron skillet”
Do I look like I am about to die, where this kid is telling me that I could pass this item on from Generation to generation?
John 14:12–17 ESV
“Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father. Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it. “If you love me, you will keep my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.

Takeaways:

Jesus says that whoever believes in him will do the works that he does
Jesus said we would do greater works than He because he is going to the father
Jesus states that the Father will send the Holy Spirit, and that he would be with us forever.
The Holy Spirit will dwell in us

What does that have to do with us, and with our Journey through Acts:

At the end of the Gospels, You have the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. In that time, you have Jesus staying with His disciples for some time.
In Acts chapter 1, you have the promise of the Holy Spirit and the Ascension
In Acts chapter 2, you have Pentecost, where all were filled with the Holy Spirit
