In The Moment
Always put things that you are facing to "The Test" of the Word.
4 Beloved, tdo not believe every spirit, but utest the spirits to see whether they are from God, for vmany wfalse prophets xhave gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: yevery spirit that confesses that zJesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3 and every spirit athat does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and bnow is in the world already.
A Spirit of Discernment is a necessity
In both Testaments “spirit” is used of both God and human beings. Spirit, whether used of God or of human beings, is difficult to define. The kinship of spirit, breath, and wind is a helpful clue in beginning to understand spirit.
SPIRIT Empowering perspective of human life and the Holy Spirit bringing God’s presence and power to bear in the world. A translation of the Hebrew word ruach and the Greek work pneuma, which can be translated as “wind,” “breath,” or “spirit” depending upon the context.
The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
Jesus said that the Spirit is like the wind in that one cannot see it but one can see its effects. This is true of both the Spirit of God and the spirit of a human being.
