Blessed be

Good morning I want to welcome you on this resurrection Sunday. I want to thank all those who attended or early morning service , i thank Pastors Moore, Wilson , Drake and especially Pastor Daniels for his message this morning. I want to thank the Conocanary members who came out and the culinary ministry for their service.

Today is the day for any Christian to celebrate , for this is the where our faith is , our hope is ,and today is where it all comes together.

I am excited today and so come with me to the 1 Peter 1:3-5

1 Peter 1:3–5 NKJV

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Thank you God for your grace and mercy. Thank you God for your power and presence, thank you God for your word. I humbly ask that you allow me to speak your words, and speak your words with boldness and conviction. That something i say strengthen a saint or bring someone to the altar asking what must i do to be saved.

“ Blessed Be”

The Epistle writer Paul begins this epistle or letter, thanking Father God for the gift of Jesus.

Verse 3 says Blessed Be the Father of our Lord Jesus ,

Now half the the translations read all praises to God,

Blessed is God. When he thought about God the author of the the plan of salvation, when he thought about God the creator, When he thought about God the father of Jesus , WHEN HE THOUGHT ABOUT GOD’S GRACE, he just had to praise him. I understand because when i think about God’s grace, When i think about where i would be if it had not been God on my side. I want to praise him. Blessed be , Blessed be God the father of my lord jesus. Blessed Be

It was God’s plan ,God will and God’s mercy , that allowed Jesus to be raised from the dead. If God didn’t will it would be a good Friday or a resurrection Sunday ,I God didn’t plan it would be any reconciliation, I God didn’t allow it we would be lost in this world. But Blessed Be !

Peter in these 3 short verses tells us why the resurrection is so vital so important so special .

If i do this right ,and i can somehow exegete this text as it should , and hermeneutically explain it , i will do it with three points that will make this resurrection real and meaningful, and joyful so that we will all leave this place with a blessed be on our lips.

A living hope

an inhertance

a salvation.

A Living Hope

This living hope called Jesus . Even the Apostles were slow to accept this hope , but early Sunday morning the same Jesus who had died on Friday and lay in a tomb on Saturday, but rose on Sunday asa living hope. That Mary and the women brought forth the word of an empty tomb, and a risen savior.

This hope which was made possible by the resurrection is the anticipation of sharing in the glory of God! that one day

A living hope because of a new birth. Our new birth , you born again. Not born of flesh and blood but born of the spirit. The plan, you see even before Jesus died, even before he rose , we can see the plan. In the third Chapter of John’s gospel, Jesus is speaking to the pharisee Nicodemus, he says lord we know that you have been sent by God for no one can do the things you do unless he has been sent from God. Jesus tells him you must be born again, Nicodemus says born again, can a man enter his mothers womb a second time . and Jesus tells him , you must be born of the spirit, that is the birth of hope. It is for that purpose that God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son. that was the plan, to give his son and make him a living hope. Blessed be God the father of our lord Jesus! In raising Jesus from the dead, he has kick started our faith in jesus which has kick started our hope in Jesus. A living hope.

This hope is the birthright of every born again believer!

Can i tell you a biblical hope in Jesus is not and earthly hope. You may hope it may be sunny, and you hope has a chance of coming through, but my hope in Jesus, this biblical hope is backed by God’s word and It is a done deal , I am assured in Jesus , I am assured in his resurrection, i am assured of his power, i am assured that he sits at the right hand of the father , I am assured ,

In other words I know ,I know And I know that Jesus is real. And sense i know that Jesus is real ,and sense i know that Jesus rose from the dead , and sense i know that Jesus is a living hope ,I know that one day I too shall rise from the dead, i know that when this old life is over I shall be God whom i shall see for myself, Blessed be

Inheritance

This living hope is a lasting hope and it is reserved in heaven, it is our inheritance!

An earthly inhertance is different than a heavenly inheritance.

in an earthly inheritance someone who dies leaves you something, mostly through a will or laws dealing with heirs, land money , possessions. And you receive this after the person dies.

However , in a heavenly inheritance , you receive this based on the promise of the giver. For if you have born again, if you have accepted Jesus Christ as your lord and savior, you receive an inheritance.

This inheritances are different also, an earthly inheritance , the giver has to be dead

Sometimes , what was promised is not what you get, it may have decreased in value , might have to pay taxes on it, may owe money on it , sometimes even if you get you go through it so quick, you didn’t know you even had it.

But this inheritance from God , first of all the promisor is not dead. neither Jesus nor his father is dead. God is not dead ,Blessed be .

Peter says this inhertance is incorruptible, undefiled and does not fade away, New Living translation says it is pure , undefiled and does not change. It is guaranteed. It is imperishable, undefiled and unfading!

Death cannot destroy, evil cannot pollute, and time cannot wither away

Can’t tax it, does not lose value, will not spoil, will not fade , time can’t affect it , and it is kept safe for you in heaven. ever had an airplane reservation or a hotel reservation, they sometimes cancel you , move you. but not this inhertance. Sometimes things fade with age, get weaker, but this inheritance is incorruptible ,never stale , never overbooked.

stones crumble , diamonds chip, gold wears away,but you inheritance

Can’t anybody challenge you and can’t nobody take it , and even though somebody might share in it , yours is yours Can’t perish, can’t fade, and kept in heaven under seal by the power of God .

Blessed be God the father

Salvation

We have inherited Salvation. That new birth brings a

living hope , that i shall inherit the kingdom of God ,that i shall be saved. That i will have final deliverence in the future. That one day I shall see God for my self, and mine eyes shall behold and not another.

Salvation , god’s mercy, salvation being kept by his power, kept safe and guarded by his power. salvation heaven bound.

However, that salvation is not limited to my ending, oh don’t get me wrong I want my life to end in glory. But i also need a little salvation now.

I need that realtionship that brings comfort.

I need to know he talks with me, I need to feel him walk with me , need to the spirit of God to threaten me. I don’t know about you, but i need a little Jesus right now!

because even though i have a living hope, and even though i have salvation that is incorruptible , every once and while i have some problems. Some storms , and some hardships. So i keep my eyes on the prize , knowing that if i can just hold on, knowing that if i can overcome , knowing that if i can just keep the faith.

By and through my faith , and by and through his powerI am secured.

my faith given me endurance, deliverance and sanctification

That trouble don’t last always , i can ride out my storm, that Jesus yes jesus will be with me .i know there will be some long days and sleepless nights, there will be detours on the road , and unseen turns, but as long as it leads me home I will be alright.

I trust him ! i would have some suffering now for later glory, than glory now and eternal suffering!

Through our faith we are being kept by the power of God.

I went to sleep last night and he kept me

When i woke u pthis morning he kept me

When i was lonely he kept me

When he i was sick he kept me

When i bereaved he kept me

Blessed be the God the father

Blessed be Jesus the sun

blessed be the holy spirit

Blessed be the of the God of the crucifixion

Blessed be the the crucified Christ

Blessed be the the God of the resurrection

Blessed be the resurrected Christ

I have a been born again, a new birth

I have a living hope, an inheritance that can’t nobody take,

I have inherited salvation can’t stop it, can’t turn can’t block it is mine ,

Boh where would I be

God gift of his on , was a gift of new birth, that gives eternal life , blessed Be

Blessed be the Lord , all praises to the God in heaven

Angels in heaven praise him all day long saying holy holy holy, and at least on this day we can give him a thank you God , a blessed be the name of the Lord.
