IDENTIFY SHAME

Romans 8:1-4 NLT [1] So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. [2] And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death. [3] The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins. [4] He did this so that the just requirement of the law would be fully satisfied for us, who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit.
Shame = a painful feeling of humiliation caused by the knowing of wrong or foolish behavior. Shame doesn't just make you feel like you did something wrong. Shame makes you feel like you are the problem. It defines you. It makes you, if you're not careful, believe that you are what you did.
Romans 10:10-11 ESV [10] For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. [11] For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” Shame is what stops us from having full revelation of Jesus.
So why is it shame still has power in our life? Because we haven't had a revelation of Jesus.
The revelation of Jesus is what breaks shame.
We can be saved and still not have a full revelation of Jesus. Live for God but not live in the fullness of everything God has for us.
Revelation of Jesus = The revealed truth of EVERYTHING Jesus paid the price for on the Cross. The revealed truth of everything we gain through Jesus. I don't think we fully understand what kind of grip shame has on us.
BOLA STORY
There was a word being spoken over me.
Shame doesn't just make you feel like you did something wrong. Shame makes you feel like you are the problem. It defines you. It makes you, if you're not careful, believe that you are what you did.
3 stages Strongholds Struggles Temptation You don't have to stay there Your strongholds can be just temptations Temptation is a closed door God will not make you obedient . He will not make you submissive. That's your part. He calls us to KEEP His commandments. But if you submit and you're obedient, God will cover everything else. We were equipped for every good work, BUT we have to submit. He empowers us, equips is, encourages obedience but it is always for us to do.
