Intro:
We had the opportunity to come together and see the light of the world extinguished Friday. You may notice, the cross is gone from up front. You’ll find it in the lobby, the papers gone, and in their place, a gift for you to remember this series.
We looked at the tomb on friday, but now, I want to join in the rest of what Jesus saw at his tomb from the cross… when he broke the seal, and rose!
Teach:
Where have you taken him!
Where have you taken him!
John 20:15 ““Woman,” Jesus said to her, “why are you crying? Who is it that you’re seeking?” Supposing he was the gardener, she replied, “Sir, if you’ve carried him away, tell me where you’ve put him, and I will take him away.””
a desperate cry from a passionate follower of Jesus.
Why are you looking for the living among the dead?
Why are you looking for the living among the dead?
Luke 24:5 “So the women were terrified and bowed down to the ground. “Why are you looking for the living among the dead?” asked the men.”
Christ is alive, just as he told them he would be.
Then he said her name, Mary.
Then he said her name, Mary.
John 20:16 “Jesus said to her, “Mary.” Turning around, she said to him in Aramaic, “Rabboni!”—which means “Teacher.””
she heard his voice and knew it was him.
Preach:
And then you heard your name, and you knew it was him.
And then you heard your name, and you knew it was him.
remember the moment that Jesus spoke YOUR name.
Maybe that moment is today.
When we hear our name spoken by the light of the world, the life giver, jesus, we truly know where life comes from, we experience LIFE for the first time.
Have you been looking for LIFE among DEAD THINGS?

Let the light of life ignite your world!
Jesus is the LIGHT of the world and he wants to be the light of YOUR world. Today as we celebrate the light of WORLDS return to us, let his light IGNITE YOUR HEART!
