Easter Sunday Prayer for the Church and the World
Risen Lord Jesus,
On this glorious Easter morning, we rejoice in the triumph of Your resurrection.
You have conquered sin, defeated death, and opened the way to eternal life.
We praise You for the light that now shines in the darkness, and for the hope that lifts our weary world.
For the Church
We pray for Your Church across the globe—
Renew her in the power of Your resurrection.
Fill pastors, leaders, and congregations with bold faith, holy joy, and deep love.
May we be a radiant witness to the world, proclaiming with our lives: Christ is risen! He is risen indeed!
Unite Your people across denominations and cultures.
Bring healing where there is division, courage where there is fear,
and compassion where there is indifference.
Make us instruments of Your peace and vessels of Your grace.
For the World
We lift up a broken and longing world to You, O Lord.
Where there is war, bring Your peace.
Where there is poverty, bring provision.
Where there is injustice, bring justice.
Where there is suffering, bring healing.
Be near to the lonely, the grieving, the oppressed, and the forgotten.
Raise up peacemakers, servant leaders, and voices of wisdom in every nation.
Let the light of Easter dawn in every heart and every land.
For Our Own Lives
Risen Savior,
Resurrect our hearts.
Awaken our faith.
Transform our lives,
We pray for these requests and many others to God who taught us to say The Lord’s prayer.
