The Ultimate Role Model: Jesus for Teens
Who is a role Model in your life? someone that you look up to.
1. Love Like Jesus
1. Love Like Jesus
37 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
Jesus Gave us these two most important things that we can do in out lives: to love God and to love others.
Throughout the new testament Jesus shows us many times in scripture and leads by that example.
3 And they came, bringing to him a paralytic carried by four men. 4 And when they could not get near him because of the crowd, they removed the roof above him, and when they had made an opening, they let down the bed on which the paralytic lay. 5 And when Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven.” 6 Now some of the scribes were sitting there, questioning in their hearts, 7 “Why does this man speak like that? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?” 8 And immediately Jesus, perceiving in his spirit that they thus questioned within themselves, said to them, “Why do you question these things in your hearts? 9 Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Rise, take up your bed and walk’? 10 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—he said to the paralytic— 11 “I say to you, rise, pick up your bed, and go home.”
When he heals Simons mother in law who was sick and helped her, drove out demons and healed many.
We may not show that exact type of love to others but how do we show that same love to people around us?
Talk about my summer moon story and the helping in the grocery store.
2. Illuminate with Integrity
2. Illuminate with Integrity
14 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
God has called us to let our light shine for him in this world, to not hide the love of God but so that others could see us and give the glory to god who is in heaven.
Do you hide your light? It can be so easy sometimes to build your light up and church and then when you get home or in your work place to not shine your light.
3. Peace Through Trust
3. Peace Through Trust
27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
That Jesus offers peace beyond what the world has to offer us.
That his pressance is more than the anxiesies or stress that is going on in our lives.
Take time to BE with Jesus
This week for me has been busy and is going to be a pretty busy week along with some things going on in my family life.
I was begining to stress and feel very overwelmed by all the things life was throwing at me.
Maybe emphasize Jesus' promise of peace, contrasting this with the often tumultuous emotions and uncertainties teens face. Understanding that Jesus offers a peace beyond the world's temporary comforts can reassure them that His presence is more powerful than their anxieties. By trusting in Jesus' peace, teens can find stability and courage to face life's storms.

1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
As we run the race we call life. Let us run with Jesus at the center of it all.
Jesus has already won the victory when he died on that cross, he is the founder and protecter of our faith.
No matter the circumstances that we are going through we can trust God to bring us through.
Invite the prayer teams forward, invite those who have any needs to come forward and recieve prayer
Matthew 6:33
33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
When we see first him and his righteousness he will take care of the things that are needed in our lives.
Lets pray
