GOD’S WORD MUST BE MY SOURCE OF DIRECTION FOR LIFE CHOICES TODAY. PSALM 119:25-33 ENCOURAGED BY GOD’S WORD BE ENCOURAGED TO LIVE CONFIDENTLY IN GOD THROUGH GOD’S TRUTH. PSALM 119:33-40 TRANSFORMED BY GOD’S WORD ALLOW GOD TO SHAPE YOUR INNER MAN THROUGH THE WORD OF GOD. PSALM 119:41-48 LIVE BOLDLY BY THE WORD LIVE BOLDLY FOR GOD WHILE RESTING IN HIS LOVE AND TRUTH! PSALM 119:49-56 COMFORTED THROUGH THE WORD GOD COMFORTS OUR HEART WITH HOPE AND COURAGE THROUGH THE WORD IN THE HARD TIMES OF LIFE. PSALM 119:57-64 CONVICTED BY THE WORD URGENTLY PURSUE GOD’S MERCY BY RESPONDING TO THE CONVICTION THAT COMES THROUGH THE WORD OF GOD. PSALM 119:65-72 STRETCHED BY THE WORD BELIEVE GOD’S GOODNESS IN YOUR HARD WILL DRAW YOU INTO GREATER RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD. PSALM 119:73-80 TESTIFY THROUGH THE WORD REVEAL GOD THROUGH A LIFE OF DEPENDENCE ON HIS SOVEREIGN COMPASSION. PSALM 119:81-88 RENEWED THROUGH THE WORD RENEW YOUR HEART BY DWELLING ON THE LOVE OF GOD WHEN YOU FEEL ABANDONED BY GOD. PSALM 119:89-96 STABILIZED BY GOD’S WORD GOD’S ENDURING WORD CAN AND WILL BRING STABILITY TO YOUR LIFE AS YOU APPLY IT TO YOUR LIFE. PSALM 119:97-104 DESIRE THE DISCERNING WORD DESIRE THE DISCERNING WISDOM OF GOD THAT IS GREATER THAN ALL OTHER WISDOM. PSALM 119:105-112 ENDURING COMMITMENT TO THE WORD BE COMPLETELY COMMITTED TO WILLINGLY FOLLOWING THE WORD OF GOD IN SPITE OF THE CHALLENGES. PSALM 119:113-120 REFOCUSED BY GOD’S WORD OBEDIENCE TO GOD IS BUILT ON A RIGHT VIEW OF GOD’S JUSTICE, GOD’S SUSTAINING POWER, AND MY NEED FOR HELP TO BE RIGHTEOUS! PSALM 119:121–128 TRUST GOD’S JUSTICE THROUGH THE WORD I MUST TRUST IN GOD’S JUSTICE BY REMAINING FAITHFUL TO TRUTH. PSALM 119:129-136 MY REACTION TO THE WORD MAN’S REJECTION OF GOD’S TRANSFORMING WORD SHOULD GRIEVE OUR HEARTS. PSALM 119:127-144 MY PASSION FOR THE WORD THE RELIABILITY OF GOD’S WORD SHOULD RESULT IN MY PASSIONATE COMMITMENT TO IT AND PRESENT DEPENDENCE UPON IT. PSALM 119:145-152 CRY FOR HELP THROUGH THE WORD OBEDIENCE IN THE HARD IS POSSIBLE WHEN I CRY TO GOD, TRUST HIS PROMISES, AND RESPOND IN OBEDIENCE. PSALM 119:153-160 DEPENDENT RELATIONSHIP THROUGH THE WORD FAITHFULNESS TO GOD IS ROOTED IN RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD. PSALM 119:161-168 STABILITY THROUGH THE WORD LOVING TRUTH RESULTS IN PEACE AND RIGHTEOUSNESS REGARDLESS OF THE CIRCUMSTANCES OF LIFE. Get Help Through the Word PSALM 119:169-176 GET HELP THROUGH THE WORD 1. We must recognize our own failure to live by the Word and seek God’s help. 173-176 SEEK GOD’S HELP TO DESIRE AND LIVE BY THE WORD — YOU NEED IT! APPLICATION 1. Don’t live in academic pride of your knowledge of the Word. 2. Recognize your failure of valuing, obeying, and being committed to the Word. APPLICATION 3. It is a struggle to be in the Word and live it out – what distracts you from being in the Word. Seek God’s help to solve it! 4. We must give more than verbal adherence to the Word—we must actually apply it. APPLICATION 5. Do you actually believe you need God’s Word— Are you a person of the Word—If not, ask God to seek you and restore you. 6. Recognize the need for active dependence – the key to our sanctification. You must put effort into understanding and applying God’s Word while remaining dependent on God to accomplish His work in your life. SEEK GOD’S HELP TO DESIRE AND LIVE BY THE WORD — YOU NEED IT! ARE YOU FAITHFUL TO GOD? ARE YOU EMOTIONALLY AND SPIRITUALLY STABLE? ARE YOU DEPENDENT UPON GOD?
