Last week we discussed living as we recall, we talked a lot about making decisions

and how to use but today I wanna talk about The Why

Our why should dictate how we live

do you ever notice that we often have a multi level reason for our WHY

it could be simple because we WANT TO

But has we GROW in CHRIST

our mission must be to move that WHY

to Glorifying God in all things

it must move to Growing others

So TRUE that many of the attributes of a Christian will change

that is part of your growing.

We shed the old and put on the NEW…

Daily we should strive to be different better

our Why needs to move from

My wants and desires

to His wants and desires

seeking his purpose

Putting Him above all things

and then putting others first.

Its not easy

You are not going to go from 25% changed to 100 % today because of any thing i say

But we must move the needle.

a lot of the book was talking about why Apple was so successful

as a business and their marketing efforts

The book Start with Why by Simon Sinek explores the idea that great leaders and organizations inspire action by focusing on their core purpose

—their "WHY"—rather than just their products or services.

For US it is about not simply living our lives

it is about finding our purpose that we were designed for and

having the PASSION TO UNDERSTAND WHY

Sinek introduces the concept of the Golden Circle, which consists of three layers:

WHY – The deeper purpose, cause, or belief that drives an organization or individual.

HOW – The process or values that help achieve the WHY.

WHAT – The tangible products or services offered.

Sinek argues that people don’t buy what you do; they buy why you do it.

Simon talks about Martin Luther King

Dr. King’s “I Have a Dream” speech wasn’t a tactical roadmap.

It was a tapestry woven from shared beliefs in equality and freedom, painted with vivid imagery and anchored in unwavering conviction.

In that dream, millions found themselves reflected, their own aspirations mirrored in the collective vision of a just society.

As Sinek points out, King didn’t say, “I have a plan.” He offered a dream, a shared belief that became the fuel for transformative action.

People don’t come to Christ for WHAT you do it is for the WHY you do it

and our Church and YOU needs to

Tell people the GOOD NEWS —- WHY

Teach people to Walk —- The How

Train people to Give —- the what

Here’s what we do—- here’s how we do it —-and here’s why we do it Apple in their success turned that paradigm around.

They started being successful

because they decided to start with WHY.

We do everything in our life for our WHY

and why we do it is because

our WHY is that JESUS PAID THE PRICE TO SET US FREE

our WHY is that JESUS PAID IN FULL SO WE CAN BE IN FOREVER RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD THE FATHER

we are called to be holy be exactly like Jesus.

We talked about that last week

were do not think of yourself more than you are

but to realize that exactly who you are in Christ determines

how you live so today

I wanna talk about who you are, and God says you’re holy.

God says you’re his God says you’re more precious than anything in this world

that the question is gonna come up

are you living like that are you living rightly? So I wanna establish this morning this word identity Exactly who the Bible says you are

IDENTITY

Our WHY becomes our IDENTITY

our IDENTITY is so much more deep

than a lable.

Who are We?

We are the bride of Christ

What God has joined together let no man separate

Romans 8:38–39 ESV

38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

We are assured of our Salvation because of Christ

We are God’s children

We are heirs to the kingdom

We have a NEW LIFE with a NEW Identity

2 Corinthians 5:17 “17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”

The message this morning is on our WHY

We live for HIM

We live because of who we are in HIM

1 Peter 1:15–16 “15 but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 16 since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.””

what a great verse because we discussed our conduct in the last weeks

but we are HOLY

what does that mean

It means WE ARE SET APART

This is not a NEW Testament concept

it is truly the essense of the ABRAHAM COVENTANT, THE MOSES CONVENANT

Look at Leviticus 20:7 “7 Consecrate yourselves, therefore, and be holy, for I am the Lord your God.”

We are CALLED to be like Jesus

1 Thessalonians 4:7 “7 For God has not called us for impurity, but in holiness.”

this is our WHY

To live for Him —- to HONOR HIM

TO GLORIFY HIM

TO LIVE FOR OTHERS

you simply cannot understand all these passages on marriage

if you don’t understand

your WHY

You must move away from your ME

and PUT HIM there.

and its not easy.

our very nature will fight against it.

do you believe me..

think of something that you really want

and others around you are saying it is not a good thing

do you PAUSE and PRAY

or do you start to justify so that you can have your desires

Practical Identity

Lets talk politics for a moment

which party do you stand with

and lets ask the question today

WHY

WHY DO YOU STAND WITH THEM?

you must be CHRISTIAN FIRST

you see that following either party is crazy

do you really know them —— it is a GROUP of SINNERS

have you read there complete manual on WHO they are

Do you know their WHY, their How, and are you in line with their WHAT

i am going to safely say NO

BUT our LORD

gave you at least TWO THINGS

The HOLY SPIRIT

HIS WRITTEN WORD

so that YOU would KNOW HIM

so that your WHY is clear

Friends we must start with that

Why

Why we exist

How we live

and What we have to offer

Why do I exist

to GLORIFY GOD AND TO GROW OTHERS

How do I do it

by learning and growing in knowledge of Him daily

by studying to learn

by observing

by asking questions focused on living right.

What i do

I am a Christian Entrepreneur

I am a Pastor

I am a Mentor

I am a Preacher

I TRY

you see like you i am not perfect, nor will i ever been on MY own work

I am perfect because of Him

Ephesians 2:10 “10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”

Colossians 1:28–29 “28 Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ. 29 For this I toil, struggling with all his energy that he powerfully works within me.”

Hebrews 10:14 ESV

14 For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified.

Why do i exist?

I am Holy because of Christ

i am being sanctified —- in progress

I am obedient to Him

My Why

because i love him and love others

My how

Matthew 6:33 “33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

Philippians 1:6 “6 And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”

My What

I offer to GROW OTHERS

I offer to HELP OTHERS

I offer to be a Resource
