When Pastor Danny gave us the theme for this year, he said think of what you would like for God to do again. And the first thing that came to mind was the church in Acts.

Question:
Question:
Are we believers?
You see I have no doubt of what God can do, He is the same God, He is faithful, He is good, He keeps His promises.
Now what is it that happened to early church that they were able to experience this move of God that I believe is still and should be what churches should be experiencing.
PPT verse: Acts 1:4–5; Acts 1:8
The Spirit WITHIN and the Spirit UPON
The Spirit WITHIN and the Spirit UPON
—— PRAY —-
Every Christian has experienced the Spirit ‘within’ as newness of life resides within each of us at the new birth. However, not everyone has experienced the Spirit ‘upon.’ This second outpouring of God’s Holy Spirit is described in the Book of Acts as ‘coming upon’ believers to access the requisite power for ministerial purposes.
Jesus says when he leaves, he will send the helper, the Holy Spirit.
A lot of Christians have been christians a long time and yet do not know how to be led by the spirit
Before he was crucified Jesus told the disciples about the Holy Spirit, before he went to heaven again he told them to wait on the Holy Spirit, before the disciples could go on their commission they were baptized by the Holy Spirit
Additional points:
do not accomplish in the flesh what can only be done in the spirit
Challenge
Challenge
Look church we can continue how we do our church, we come and sing, listen to the word, eat, bond and then go about our ways- repeat - but I don’t believe this is God’s full plan for the church.
