1 Corinthians 13:4–7 “Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”
Eulogy...
Eulogy...
i am using this text as a foundation for my message today because when i think about what i know about Jay Bramlette, and some of you know him better and may have known him longer but but from 1994 until now when I think about him, 2 words come to mind...
LOVE AND PASSION...
let’s look at those words quickly...
Love and passion are two powerful emotions that often go hand in hand, yet they possess distinct characteristics.
Love is a deep and profound feeling that encompasses care, affection, and a sense of commitment towards someone or something.
Passion is an intense and fiery emotion that ignites a strong desire or enthusiasm for something or someone. It is a burst of energy that can be both exhilarating and consuming,
Love Can last a lifetime.
Passion Can be short-lived or long-lasting depending on the intensity.
Love is Shown through care, support, and selflessness.
Passion is Shown through enthusiasm, dedication, and determination
ok, let me bring this to J.D.
Jay had a love and passion for fishing
Jay had a love and passion for hunting
He may not have always shown it but Jay had a love and passion for his family..
he had a love and passion for his community
he had a love and passion for the funeral industry...
TALK......
and thats why i am glad this text can to me because when you look at it, it tells us what love is and what love isn’t..
1 Corinthians 13:4–7 “Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” WORK TEXT BRIEFLY......
but he is and will always be a great example of love and passion...
to every single one of us in here...
and i thank you sir for that...
but with that love and passion, he worked his butt off and that’s why when Lynnie brought up the verse, I fought the good fight, it excited me...
she was thinking about how he fought thru this sickness and held on as long as he could but family it goes deeper then that...
he fought for the community, for the industry, for his family..
so i hear you Paul when you told Timothy, 2 Timothy 4:7–8 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.” TALK, PREACH.......work text
