INTRODUCTION
INTRODUCTION
How many of you love Resurrection Sunday?
Good.
We are going to spend the next few weeks continuing to talk about the resurrection of Jesus.
And how his resurrection applies to our lives today.

TODAY WE WILL BE LOOKING AT HOW THE VICTORY OF CHRIST IS OUR ASSURANCE IN TIMES OF TRIALS, STRUGGLES, PAIN, AND PERSECUTION.
As the hymn declares:
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow,
Because He lives, all fear is gone;
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living,
Just because He lives!

We cannot ignore the reality we live in. At the same time we must also deal with the truth of Scripture.
Christ is risen! That is true.
Jesus physically rose from the dead and is the first fruit of many brothers and sisters in the Lord.
We are free to finally battle our own flesh - no longer captive by principalities and powers.
Our Spirits have been resurrected by the Holy Spirit as a foretaste of our physical resurrection.
Christ is championing the Gospel around the globe through His Church.
Generation Z is coming to Christ faster than 4 previous generations.
We have been justified and reconciled as sons and daughters of God.
Our future is secure and noting can prevent the reality of a future New Heaven and Earth.
Here is another truth.
More Christians are killed for their faith in the world than at any other time in history.
And More!
Death still separates us from those we love.
Sin still resides in our flesh and we must do battle or it will win.
Sickness and disease still run rampant in the lives of Christians.
Tragedy befalls the Children of God on a daily basis as it does enemies of God.
We live in a between world -
Between Christ’s victory over sin and death - and the consummation of His Kingdom on Earth.

John to the seven churches that are in Asia: Grace to you and peace, from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne, and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood— and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father—to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. So it is to be. Amen. “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

John to the seven churches that are in Asia: Grace to you and peace, from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne, and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood—
Written to 7 persecuted churches under the control of Rome and Nero.
Written between AD 60-69
Intense persecution of Christians under the Emperor Nero.
Death, financial insecurity, prison, using Christians in the games to be eaten by beasts.
Pressure from every side and no place to escape.
JOHN SAYS GRACE AND PEACE -
From the Triune Creator who is enthroned over all powers.
The only God is on their side.
He has conquered persecution and death. He has made away for them to escape.
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies,
Not only has God defeated death through Jesus.
But now Jesus is ruling over the nations and the kingdoms guiding history to His return.
And we can have confidence in this because, through His death and resurrection, you have been released from the penalty of sins by his blood.
NO MATTER WHAT WE ARE GOING THROUGH; WE HAVE ASSURANCE OF OUR VICTORY IN HIS.
You are sons and daughters of the King of kings.
In Christ your victory over death is secured and guaranteed.
You can have confidence in this because He freed you from the penalty of sin.
He has given you His Spirit who testifies to this reality, crying out Father God!
YOU CANNOT LOSE BECAUSE HE HAS WON.
KEEP GOING, KEEP FIGHTING, KEEP FOLLOWING HIS RIGHTEOUS WAY.
BECAUE HE LIVES YOU CAN FACE TOMORROW.

and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father—to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
WHO YOU ARE IS NOT SHAPED BY YOUR PAST.
WHO YOU ARE IS NOT SHAPED BY YOUR LOCATION OF BIRTH.
WHO YOU ARE IS NOT SHAPED BY YOUR SKIN COLOR.
WHO YOU ARE IS SHAPED BY HIS VICTORY FOR YOU!
We are a kingdom -
A people of every tribe, language, skin color, joined as one in Christ.
We are a priesthood -
A people who live to give Him worship and glory.
A people who live to bring others to Him by His sacrifice.
We are those who represent the star breathing God to the world.
After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could count, from every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and palm branches were in their hands; and they cry out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.”
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
For what purpose has he made us a new kind of people, a new race not of Adam but the race of kings and queens?
For what purpose has he made us a royal -Kingly priesthood?
To proclaim his Excellencies.
WE ARE A REVIVAL PEOPLE WHO PROCLAIM CHRIST TO BRING HIM GLORY AND TO RESTORE THE LOST TO HIM.
And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
You have purpose, a reason to live, do not let your past, your fears, your failings, stop you from being the person Christ died and rose again to make you.
BECAUSE HE LIVES ALL FEAR IS GONE!

If Jesus is risen then we can trust He is returning.
SO WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? AND HOW THEN SHOULD WE LIVE?
Quoting Daniel - Son of man coming on the clouds to the Ancient of Days. to recieve power over the kingdoms of the world.
John is not just pointing to the return of Christ to earth - which he does but also by quoting Daniel the authority of Christ now over the kingdoms of the earth.
Think AD 70 when the temple is destroyed - Jesus said, not one stone would stand on top of another.
JESUS IS RULING RIGHT NOW OVER THE KINGDOMS OF THIS WORLD.

RIGHT NOW, TOMORROW AND UNTIL HE RETURNS, JESUS IS GROWING HIS CHURCH.
YES MORE PEOPLE ARE BEING KILLED FOR THEIR FAITH IN JESUS.
BUT ALSO MORE PEOPLE ARE COMING TO FAITH IN JESUS THAN AT ANY TIME IN HISTORY.
JESUS IS WON, IS WINNING, AND WILL WIN.

How then should we live in light of His future coming and HE IS current reigning over the kingdoms of the world?
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living,
Just because He lives!
We are to live life with joy, passion, and purpose! Without fear.
And when things are bad we look to the tomb and see it is empty.
Our faith grounded in Easter and always looking for His return.
We win church Because He Has Risen and is Coming Again!

WE ARE LIVING IN THE MIDST OF THE GREATEST REVIVAL THE WORLD HAS EVER SEEN.
GEN Z IS COMING TO CHRIST IN DROVES.
MILLENAIL MEN ARE COMING BACK TO CHRIST IN DROVES.
GENERATION X IS RETURNING TO THE CHURCH IN DROVES.
MUSLIMS AROUND THE WORLD ARE COMING TO JESUS.
SOUTH AMERICA AND ASIA ARE EXPLODING IN CONVERSIONS TO CHRIST.
COLLEGE CAMPUSES IN THE US ARE EXPEREINCING REVIAL LIKE AMERICA HAS NEVER SEEN.
ALL BECAUSE HE LIVES!

This morning I want to do things a bit differently.
I am going to read to you a passage out of Isaiah.
Then I would I am going to call on a few people to come up and pray for God to pour out revival.
“Shout for joy, O barren one, you who have borne no child; Break forth into joyful shouting and cry aloud, you who have not travailed; For the sons of the desolate one will be more numerous Than the sons of the married woman,” says the Lord. “Enlarge the place of your tent; Stretch out the curtains of your dwellings, spare not; Lengthen your cords And strengthen your pegs. “For you will spread abroad to the right and to the left. And your descendants will possess nations And will resettle the desolate cities. “Fear not, for you will not be put to shame; And do not feel humiliated, for you will not be disgraced; But you will forget the shame of your youth, And the reproach of your widowhood you will remember no more. “For your husband is your Maker, Whose name is the Lord of hosts; And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel, Who is called the God of all the earth.
