I Am Persuaded

And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

I began to think about our anchors in the faith, all the way back in the beginning.

Moses was persuaded and led the Hebrews out of the land of Pharaoh.

Noah was fully persuaded and in the face of extreme ridicule and the absence of evidence that rain could fall from the sky built an ark and saved his family.

Daniel, shad rack, me shack and ebendigo were fully persuaded and defied the king, wanting rather to face the furnace and the den of lions than to disappoint the God who gave them life.

Peter was so persuaded that he begged to be hung upside down at his death,

Judas so fully persuaded of who Jesus was took his own life after he betrayed the king of kings.

James beheaded by the order of Herod went to his death persuaded.

Stephen so fully persuaded that he succumbed to the stoning of his fellow man after asking that they not be charged of God for their deeds.

Paul once the persecutor of the faithful was beheaded for his faith, he was persuaded.

It is said in the pages of history that Andrew was crucified by soldiers in the area of modern day Turkey still persuaded.

Thomas going to the far land of India is said to have been speared to death by soldiers, persuaded of the power of his salvation.

John the revaltor, while he wasnt killed for his faith, it wasnt because they didnt try, he was reportedly boiled in oil, and of course being put on the aisle of pat mos assuredly to die.

I could go on and on with story after story from then to now of people being fully persuaded.

I want to ask this wonderful church in Iuka MS ARE YOU PERSUADED?

We are living in a time of great confusion and spiritual battle. pressed in our families, pressed in our communities. pressed to accept what has always been sin as now okay, or just a matter of personal difference.

Many of Gods people has now been politically or culturally persuaded to change their views on many things. But I believe there is still a church that is perched on the rock. I believe there is still some Apostolic people who feel the gates of Hell pressing them but know deep in their holy ghost filled spiritts that as long as they are persuaded the gates of hell shall not prevail.

In the 1800’s a group of Cheyenne Indian Warriors were know as Dog Soldiers. Fierce in mounted battle, known for their bravery and loyalty to their people. When the battle they were in seem to be going against them it was common for a warrior to dismount in the middle of the battle ground. Thrust his lance into the ground, tie what was know as his “DOG ROPE” to the lance and around his torsos. this sygnified that he was not going to retreat and he was not going to surrender.

I wonder if there are any people in this place tonight who would be willing to make such a claim. I am not surrendering my children to this woke society, I am not retreating from the old paths established by the prayers, blood, and tears of my fore fathers. I am persuaded that nothing shall come between me and God.
