Joshua 1:10–11 NKJV
10 Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying, 11 “Pass through the camp and command the people, saying, ‘Prepare provisions for yourselves, for within three days you will cross over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land which the Lord your God is giving you to possess.’ ”

I. Pass over.

The command was to go over. The connotation was to turn the chapter and begin the next phase of their calling.

A. The challenge of the unfamiliar.

B. The challenge of the process.

For those leaving college, you may be entering a field that you have studied but still fill under prepared for.
For our H. S. graduates you may be heading to college or still trying to figure out your way.
It can be extremely difficult to navigate a world when you don’t know where you are heading. It’s okay to slow down and find your way. But, don’t stop looking.

II. Prepare.

A. The personal provisions

The provisions where for there own benefit. They should prepare themselves for the future.
Regardless of where you are in your journey, you should never stop preparing.
Most importantly, don’t forget the spiritual aspect of life.

B. The purposeful provisions

Why prepare, because there will be battles that you must fight. Personal battles, spiritual battles, battles of faith, battles of culture, and battles of relationships.
If you are to have success you must be prepared.
The wise man built his house upon the rock.

III. Possess

A. A place to build a life.
