Who is James?

James is Jesus’s brother,  who at one stage did not support his ministry (Mark verse).
Interestingly this is where our protestant theology differs from more orthodox or catholic views of the perpetual virginity of Mary (meaning she did not have any further children and specifically no naturally conceived children with Joseph). There are interpretations on both viewpoints of the Greek use of the word brother in these verses.
Ultimately, there are solid arguments on both sides and viewpoints, but either way, it does not take away from the fact that James knew Jesus and he was a significant follower of Him, and instrumental in establishing Jesus’s church.
James witnessed Jesus crucifixion and was also in the upper room at pentecost (Acts).
James thus became a significant leader and pillar of the early church, and this letter is to the church.
James was martyred for his faith in Jesus not long after penning this letter )REF). what is your first response when trials of various kinds take place?
INSERT SCRIPTURE
Why do we as Christians act like this? Because True faith endures trials and produces maturity. We need to put our faith into work. We cant say we trust Gods sovereignty and his will regardless of outcome but be the first to be running around like headless chooks as soon as a hurdle comes at us,.
When our response to hardship is faith, it produces something in us.
