Demistifying: Prophecy, tongues, and healing.

Application

First you Do, then we aknowledge

They first spoke in tongues, then figured out what happened
A pastor has to meet a criteria before being aknowledged as one. So has the deacon.
You can have Gifts without Ministry, but not Ministry without Gifts.

How Can I Start?

God has already started!
David King: shepherding, Fighting bear, lion, then armies, leading army of broken people.
Taking Opportunities/Challenges that arise: Jesus and the wedding wine (Mary), Peter and John at the temple, David and Goliath.
All starts with: How can I help?
Desire to Serve: meet Kingdom needs
Desire to Love: meet people’s needs
What are your passions?
What do people say you are good at?
What skills do you desire to have?
Which needs in the church or outside do wish you could meet?

Conclusion

Warnings

We cannot neglect: no maturing, not witnessing, no growth, not identity, no unity.
PARABLE OF THE TALENTS: The Gift is not yours, is God’s
Do it in Love
Do it orderly, Do it well

Encouragement

If I am a Christian, I am gifted
If I am gifted I should be doing at least one of these:
SERVING.
LEARNING TO SERVE.
DESIRING TO SERVE.
