Paul lives like an ambassador for Christ appealing to others to be reconciled to God (5:20). This appeal is based on the grace God showed in punishing Christ in the place of sinners, so that believing sinners might receive his righteousness (5:21). On the basis of the ministry of reconciliation, Paul states that he is an ambassador for Christ. His message to unbelievers is that they should be reconciled to God.
