I. Daily Devotions “Pray without ceasing” (1 Thess. 5:17).
A. Many neglect to read the Bible and pray. Because they are too busy with selfish pursuits, they become spiritually lean.
B. We must take time for fellowship with God daily. Victory is assured those who continue in a spirit of prayer. “Pray that ye enter not into temptation” (Luke 22:40).

A. Some dedicate themselves to God but fail to yield completely to Him. Therefore, they become disillusioned and discouraged, often giving up in despair.
B. We must commit ourselves to God daily. The secret of victorious living is surrendering to His will, no matter the circumstances of our lives. “Commit thy way unto the Lord … and he shall bring it to pass” (Ps. 37:5).

A. Many people are concerned with selfish and temporal pursuits alone. They neglect the worship and work of the Lord.
B. We should be diligent to warn them for God. When we keep alive spiritually by attending church, loving the lost, helping others, and witnessing for Jesus Christ, God will not forget our works (Heb. 6:10–11).

A. Some persist in following their own desires and depending on their own learning. They choose the inferior way.
B. We need God’s daily guidance and direction for every detail of our lives. As we keep our will under the control of His will, we are led by the Holy Spirit (Prov. 3:6).
