Philip and the Ethiopian

Acts 8:26–40 NIV
Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, “Go south to the road—the desert road—that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” So he started out, and on his way he met an Ethiopian eunuch, an important official in charge of all the treasury of the Kandake (which means “queen of the Ethiopians”). This man had gone to Jerusalem to worship, and on his way home was sitting in his chariot reading the Book of Isaiah the prophet. The Spirit told Philip, “Go to that chariot and stay near it.” Then Philip ran up to the chariot and heard the man reading Isaiah the prophet. “Do you understand what you are reading?” Philip asked. “How can I,” he said, “unless someone explains it to me?” So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him. This is the passage of Scripture the eunuch was reading: “He was led like a sheep to the slaughter, and as a lamb before its shearer is silent, so he did not open his mouth. In his humiliation he was deprived of justice. Who can speak of his descendants? For his life was taken from the earth.” The eunuch asked Philip, “Tell me, please, who is the prophet talking about, himself or someone else?” Then Philip began with that very passage of Scripture and told him the good news about Jesus. As they traveled along the road, they came to some water and the eunuch said, “Look, here is water. What can stand in the way of my being baptized?” And he gave orders to stop the chariot. Then both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water and Philip baptized him. When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord suddenly took Philip away, and the eunuch did not see him again, but went on his way rejoicing. Philip, however, appeared at Azotus and traveled about, preaching the gospel in all the towns until he reached Caesarea.

Mark Beoughr (Bouker)
From celina
Bee keeper.
May of last year, Life changing Accident.
Checking his bees down south
He and his friend
Got T-boned on 127
——A week before I get bees from him.
A day filled with inconveniences,
work day
noon oil change
Broken garage door spring.
Went back to work
Came home and garage door fixed.
called and oil change place had a cancellation
In the waiting area just he and a woman.
She looked upset. He asked how she was doing.
She asked him how he was.
Instead of reliving the bumps of the day he says I’m blessed God is good.
She broke down saying how over the last week or so she hasn’t been able to stop thinking about God. But she had no idea what to do, where to start.
Mark Introduced her to our Lord Jesus.
Explained what he did to make salvation available for everyone.
She excepted Jesus as her lord and savior.
She was from a town about 1 1/2 hours into Michigan and was on her way home from visiting her sister in Dayton. she was at that tire center because she hated driving on 75 so she took a different way to and from Dayton . Check engine light came on.
Philip, Chris and Mark all love the lord.
neither of them would describe themselves as important.
neither would be considered a big deal in their community.
But all 3 undoubtedly love the lord.
All 3 were able to look past what others would consider a tough time and listen to what the Lord calls them to.
All 3 experience the joy of having the Holy Spirit work through them.
Ask yourselves this. Can I have the strength of a man tasked to take care of widows.
or a mild manner factory worker, pig farmer, beekeeper.
or a former meth addict.
these men are no different than you or I.
They do however take the opportunities God puts before them to share the word of our lord Jesus.
What a pleasure it will be when they are in heaven and see the souls that they shared Jesus with.
Don’t waste the opportunities God puts before you. He calls each and everyone of us to share the news.
Answer his call you will never regret it.
