The Season of Change
The Season of Change
Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.
CONTEXT: The House here symbolizes anything we attempt will affect nothing except the Lord is in it. IOTW the watchman watches in vain unless accompanied by the Divine watching.
Your bible study, your auxiliaries, your fundraisers, your revival you witnessing nothing we do will be effective unless God is doing it with us. You can sit up late, rise early Anything you do is not going to be effective if God is not in it or doing it with you.
MAIN POINT: Rather than focus on the negative, the loss, and the void we must trust in the omnipotent power of God.
Application: Just as His family needed protection & direction then (Ancient Times), Today we need his sovereign protection and direction still.

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:
He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.
Context: Solomon, full of wisdom, reminds us that life is composed of seasons. Every joy, trial, birth, death, and even leadership transition falls under God’s timing.
Application: Losing a spiritual leader can feel like losing a covering. But this change didn’t catch God off guard. It’s part of His divine calendar. Embrace the season, trust His timing, and believe that new life and new leadership will emerge, according to His purpose.

and he will be the stability of your times, abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is Zion’s treasure.
Context: Isaiah spoke this during a time of national instability for Israel. Yet he pointed to God’s wisdom and knowledge as the stability — not kings, not systems.
Application: Your pastor has been a gift, but your hope is not in the pastor — it is in the Lord. His Word, His Spirit, and His presence are still here. The Bible is still true, the gospel still saves, and the Holy Spirit still leads.
The Work Is God’s, Not Yours Alone — Let Him Carry It

And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
Context: Paul was separated from the Philippian church but reminded them (and himself) that God was still at work in their lives, with or without his presence. Separation as in change in position
Application: You’ve been faithful. You’ve sown, watered, and watched growth. Now step back in peace, knowing that God finishes what He starts. The church belongs to Him. Let the Holy Spirit carry what you once carried.
God Has Reserved a New Season for You — Rest, Rejoice, and Commune

but one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her.”
Context: In a moment where Martha was busy serving, Mary sat at Jesus’ feet. Jesus honored Mary’s choice to simply be in His presence.
Application: You’ve been a Martha for many years — now it’s time to be a Mary. The labor is finished, and a season of personal communion, family connection, and divine rest is yours. Don’t worry about the church. God is watching over His house.
CONCLUSION: Well Pastor Bobby, sir, I have dig myself out of this hole.
