2 Corinthians 9:6-8
"The point is this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows
bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart,
not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to
make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you
may abound in every good work."
Beloved in Christ, as we gather for worship, we are called to honor our Lord with our
tithes and offerings. Proverbs 3:9 exhorts us, “Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the
firstfruits of all your crops.” Let this act of giving be an outpouring of our gratitude and a
reflection of our commitment to God’s kingdom. By presenting our offerings as firstfruits,
we acknowledge God’s supremacy and honor His name with our hearts and resources.
May our gifts be a pleasing aroma of worship before our God.
Pray with me church
Holy Father, In the name and in the spirit of Jesus, we bring our gifts to you, O God. Help us to give
with them a ready mind, a willing spirit, and a joyful heart. In the name of your Son we pray, Amen.
