If we accept that we are made in the image of God, then a biblical worldview informs us that life is precious!
Why are we even here?
If we believe that God created us male and female in His image, it would stand to reason that our purpose for being here is for his good pleasure.
What About Aliens?
So much of our infatuation about life in other places is rooted in an evolutionary pre-supposition that since the word, they say, is so old, and since water is the basic necessity for life (as we know it) then if we could find h20 etc on other planets, it would indicate there was once life there.
This challenges a biblical world view concerning the age of the earth, and even a biblical worldview that God has always existed outside his creation.
IF you buy in to the idea that aliens created the pyramids, etc., then it is a short jump replacing God or any god, with an alien.
Personal Responsibility.
Seems like we are always wanting to play the "blame game" to be a martyr, or to illicit pity, to make us look better, and to feel entitled.
