Walking in the Overflow

Primary Text:
John 7:38 KJV 1900
38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

Introduction

We began this journey with “The Oil is in the Crushing.”
The olive was pressed. The vessel was broken. The anointing was released.
Then last week, we stepped into “Anointed for the Fire.”
The oil was tested in the flame. Faith was proven. Ropes were burned. And the Son of God showed up in the furnace.
But now—it’s time to walk in the overflow.
You’ve been crushed. You’ve been tested. Now it’s time to pour.

I. Overflow Comes After Obedience

Overflow is not accidental—it’s the result of obedient endurance.
You can’t skip Gethsemane and jump to the Upper Room.
You can’t bypass the fire and expect the flood.
Psalm 23:5 KJV 1900
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Notice: The oil came before the overflow. And the oil came in the presence of enemies.
The anointing prepared David not to hide, but to overflow—in adversity.
When God sees you’ve submitted in crushing, and stood in fire, He says: “Now you’re ready to flow.
Overflow is not for show—it’s for service.

II. You Are the Vessel and the River

Jesus said, “Out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.”
The word belly in Greek (koilia) can mean “inner man,” “spirit,” or even “womb.”
In other words, what has been conceived in pressure and proven in fire is now ready to be birthed in the earth.
You are no longer just carrying oil—you are a conduit for living water.
Not a drop…
Not a trickle…
Rivers.
This is Holy Ghost overflow. Not emotionalism. Not hype. But flowing power that touches others.
Peter’s shadow healed the sick (Acts 5:15).
Paul’s handkerchiefs cast out demons (Acts 19:12).
Why? They weren’t just anointed—they walked in the overflow!

III. Overflow Blesses Others

Your overflow is not for your elevation. It’s for someone else’s transformation.
Genesis 12:2 (KJV): “…and thou shalt be a blessing.”
You’ve been blessed to be a blessing.
You’ve been filled to be poured out.
Luke 6:38 (KJV): “…good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over…”
Running over. That’s the overflow. That’s the evidence.
When your peace overflows, people in chaos find calm.
When your joy overflows, heaviness breaks off others.
When your Spirit overflows, demons flee, chains fall, and heaven touches earth.
You’re not a reservoir—you’re a river.
And rivers flow outward. They find need. They fill emptiness. They bring life.

IV. Don’t Just Get Filled—Stay Overflowing

Ephesians 5:18 (KJV): “…be filled with the Spirit.”
The Greek implies: “Be being filled.” In other words—stay full. Stay flowing.
You cannot overflow if you’re running on empty.
Stay in His presence.
Stay in the Word.
Stay in worship.
Stay connected.
Overflow is not a one-time event—it’s a lifestyle.
The early Church didn’t visit revival—they lived in overflow.
Acts 4 says they were all filled again and spoke the word with boldness.

Conclusion: The Journey of the Anointed

The Oil is in the Crushing – You were broken so the oil could flow.
Anointed for the Fire – You were tested so the oil could be proven.
Walking in the Overflow – You are filled to the brim so others can be changed.
The oil wasn’t just for you. The fire wasn’t just about you.
Now the overflow is ready to bless, heal, and transform everything around you.
You don’t just have the anointing—now the anointing has you.

Prophetic Declaration:

“I declare over this house: You will not be dry. You will not be stuck. You will not live in lack.
You are walking in the overflow. What God put in you through crushing and fire is about to bless your family, your city, and your generation.
Rivers are coming out of you! Healing is coming through you! The world will know—you’ve been with Jesus, and you are walking in the overflow!”
Closing Quote:
“You were not filled to sit. You were filled to spill.
You were not anointed to contain—you were anointed to pour.”
