Sunday Service May 4, 2025 "God's Way"

Well, good morning church family last week, my video camera turned off about two seconds. After I started it and I didn't realize it until after the service was over. So today I'm doing this recording. I thought I would try you doing it in Proclaim so you could save the pictures and stuff. I put up on the screen for everyone else. So last week, we saw Jesus go home and run into a brick wall of opposition. It seems the people in his hometown, did not see the Son of God, but the son of Joseph, they remember Jesus as a small boy and were offended. What he claimed to be the Son of God? They had all heard about Jesus, but did not realize he was the boy. They remembered when Jesus opened his medical clinic to heal sick. People just if you came and were healed,

Everyone else stayed away Jesus noted, a prophet is not without honor, except in his hometown and among his own relatives. If you go west to El Paso, there is a teeny town called Marathon. Marathon has a population of 271. If you go down to McAllen, there is a Tiny Town of Guerra, Guerra has a population of just six people. And last but not least, if you go east, you will find the town of Uncertain which has a population of 85 people live in. Get it. By the way, when the people of Uncertain decided to petition the state to give them a Township to incorporate them as a city. They left the name of the city blank on the application, form, the clerk, that accepted the application from them wrote uncertain, and the name spot meaning he didn't know what it was either, and it just stuck. And so today are is Uncertain, Texas out in East Texas. And this is just a small sampling of Texas. Towns are many more wide spot in the road. Most may have only one traffic light or maybe just the stop sign. The old saying is that night, they roll up the sidewalks and put them away until morning before bringing them back out. No, bread, no bag. No money in their belt. I can wear sandals and he added do not put on two tunics, don't take any bread or money or clothing. It is because he wanted them to be completely dependent on the holy spirit for what they needed. The Christian witness is provision by the Holy Spirit. Many years ago, there was a man named George Miller who left his home in Austria and went to London England. The Industrial Revolution was in full swing and people Inland and had jobs to go to the shops tended to run 24 hours a day and the people work in shifts, the shops were dangerous. The machines were driven by steam engine with a large, leather belt overhead, that ran the machine. Let me show you one of these.

There were no safety guards on any of that stuff and people died frequently from accidents involving the machines. Many times. Those people had children who were left his orphans. When George when God Called George Mueller to London, it was for the purpose of starting orphanages to take care of the children. There were no safety nets back then today if someone's parents are lost their foster homes in other options back, then these options did not exist. The orphanages. He asked the Lord Lord, how could you possibly use a Filipino nightclub Club piano player in Japan? I don't even speak Japanese, the Lord responded by saying, you just go and leave the rest up to me again, went to Language School in, learn to speak Japanese funny arrived in Tokyo. That he's came at the cost of the blood of Christ and was given for us. We would do well to remember that and he said to them wherever you enter a house, stay there until you leave town. Several months ago we talked about contentment. We should be content with what we have and 1st Timothy 6. Say Paul said, if we have food and covered with these, we shall be content. Jesus said, Beware, and be on your guard against every form of greed, for not even when one has an abundance, does his life consist of his possessions, the point to it all. Is when Jesus told him to stay wherever they were, they were to be content in that place. They were not to move around from house to house. The reason is found in an admonition from Jesus contained in. Luke chapter 10, carry, no money, but no bag, no shoes and greet. No one on the way. Whatever house you enter first say, peace. Be to this house. If a man to pieces they're your peaceful rest on him but if not it will return to you stay in that house eating and drinking what they have, what they give you for. The laborer is worthy of his wages. Do not keep moving from house to house. Whatever city you enter and they receive you eat what he said before. You and heal, those in it who are sick and say to them, the kingdom of God has come near to you. Eating and drinking. What is said that. Before you the Jews had strict dietary requirements in Jesus, flat told them to ignore those requirements. You see if we're going to be on mission for Jesus, and if we believe he will provide for us. What we need, then we should not be picky about what we eat and drink. If Jesus provides it. We should be content with it. I must tell you, I stay on this one. When I was in Vietnam with the group, we stopped to help out an old woman Haband, so I can help her and wanted to chat with us. So he invited us into his home. He was a good house and provided us with drinks. Now, the drinking question was his favorite but I absolutely did not want to drink it. The drink was bird's nest, soup. I just could not bring myself to drink it even though I should have Jesus point was to be content and whatever house you are in. Our comfort is not the purpose for being there. Our purpose is to share Christ with those who do not know him. He provided food, and drink for the apostles. And they were to be content where they were if they had been moving from house to house. They would have been looking for better accommodations or better food or better drink, what purpose would have been their comfort and not the gospel message. They went out and preach that men should repent. And they were casting out, many demons. And we're anointing with oil, many sick, people and healing them Jesus. Something about by Paris, to preach the gospel. The essence of the Gospel message is we need to repent or turn away from our sins and believe that Jesus died for our sins, the message, they preach was validated by The Miracles and healings. The Gospel of Jesus Christ, is that mankind is inherently simple. We would rather climb a tree and commit a sin than we would stand on the ground and be Godly but separates us from God. He cannot allow sin in his presence and therefore the same problem had to be dealt with before we could be in heaven with him forever. We're actually destined to go to hell because of our said but God didn't want that he created us and he loves us and it is for that reason that he said his son. That Jesus is Lord. You shall be saved. Could be saved. Might be safe. But she'll be safe. Let me encourage you. If you do not know Jesus as Lord and Savior, give your heart to him today.
