Man and woman with much wealth. Elisha frequented their establishment.
This shows that being generous comes with a mind in tune with God’s work. Faithful stewardship. GIving with no intention to receive, only to bless the man of God.
Woman impressed to provide accommodations for the man of God.
Promise of a son in the future to a woman whose husband was old. Unlikely for the woman to conceive. This was the blessing all women of this time so desired. To have a son. The woman is content with her life even while childless.
The woman gets after Elisha not to deceive her.

The son dies. Possible it was heat stroke. Headache **There have been over 600 heat related deaths in each year 2023 and 2024.

Woman tell Elisha, “I did not ask for a son and I told you not to deceive me...”
Shunammite woman's unwavering faith in God and His prophet. Even when faced with her son's tragedy, she pursues Elisha with persistent hope. Stress her determination and trust in God’s provision and intervention. Challenge the audience to pursue God with perseverance in times of crisis. Just as Jesus responded to faith-filled requests, God honors persistent faith through miraculous interventions and divine comfort.

God chooses whom He will work through. Not the husband, Not the Servant, Not the staff, But the man of God persistent in his prayer interceding on behalf of the woman.
Sneezing 7 times possibly indicating the work of God reviving the boy.

God restored the lad’s life, air returned to his lungs, he sneezed seven times (seven indicating a work of God; cf. 5:14), and opened his eyes. These were the first signs that God had restored his life.
