Seeking Jesus

Bible Passage: Luke 19:1–10

Lords prayer : “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.” for Yours is the kingdom the power, and the glory forever and ever amen

1. Zacchaeus Seeks Jesus

Luke 19:1–4 “He entered Jericho and was passing through. And behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus. He was a chief tax collector and was rich. And he was seeking to see who Jesus was, but on account of the crowd he could not, because he was small in stature. So he ran on ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him, for he was about to pass that way.”
In these verses we see that Zacchaeus, though he was rich still sought after Jesus. He was too Short to see Jesus. So he Ran to a sycamore tree to climb it

2. Jesus Knows Zacchaeus

Luke 19:5–7 “And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, hurry and come down, for I must stay at your house today.” So he hurried and came down and received him joyfully. And when they saw it, they all grumbled, “He has gone in to be the guest of a man who is a sinner.””
Here we see Jesus going to Zacchaeus as he was on the tree and calling him to stay at his house. He recieved Jesus and Was joyful, Now the people saw this and were mad and judged Jesus for sitting with a Sinner.

3. Zacchaeus repents

Luke 19:8–10 “And Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, “Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor. And if I have defrauded anyone of anything, I restore it fourfold.” And Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, since he also is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.””
Zacchaeus sees this decides to give half of his goods to the poor and return 4 fold what he may have defrauded from somebody. Jesus says that he is also a Son of Abraham, and that He ca,e to seek and save the Lost
