Kingdom Focused Family Church

Music

Welcome, introduce self.

Prayer

This is a new church plant, meaning it is just the beginning.
This is a new church, that is starting from nothing, except Jesus Christ.
The vision that God has given me, as the planter/pastor, is to build families through focusing on the Kingdom of God.
That is to help families be healthy physically, emotionally, mentally, and most importantly spiritually.
I personally have had multiple people ask me to start a church that is geared towards young adults, young families, as many of the churches in the area are made up of a majority of older adults, those of 50 or even 60.
I believe, there is a generations that are not being reached for Jesus.
We must do a better job, at being real with the younger people, and it is not about the bright lights and the professional services, they want real, they want to see when people make mistakes but that they also can get back up and walk in a right relationship with Jesus again.
I have had many young adults and teenagers tell me I want the truth, not someone that is going to stand up and put on a show or try to act as if they have it all together, but someone real with me.
I strive to be that person, I do make mistakes, I do sin, but I do ask for forgiveness, and I talk about how I make mistakes, and how I sin, and if it is in the church or when it affects the church I will apologize to the church.
That is what the younger people want to see because when they mess up, they want to know they are not going to Hell, or that they can still have a relationship with Christ.
They also want to be accepted in the church, and there are a lot of churches out there these young people do not feel comfortable in, and it has nothing to do with the music or the lack of performance, or the lack of lights, but a lack of friendliness to young people.
We have to change that, and we have to change it quickly.
Kingdom Focused Family Church desires to be the church that is welcoming to all generations, but will strive to reach those under 50.
A church is suppose to be a family, everyone that comes, no matter the age, the race, the social class, and their economic statues.
Kingdom Focused Family Church will strive not to have any barriers, allow any judgments, but be open and welcoming too all God sends.

Name

Why Kingdom Focused Family Church?
Well, I have thought about a name, and prayed long about it, and that is the name God has given me.
When Jesus first started His public ministry He preached a simple but straight forward message.
Matthew 4:17 NASB95
17 From that time Jesus began to preach and say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
Now Matthew uses the phrase Kingdom of Heaven, but it is the same as the Kingdom of God, used in other places in the Bible.
Paul speaks about the Kingdom of God in Romans 14:17
Romans 14:17 NASB95
17 for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
There we see that the Kingdom of God is not about eating and drinking, there is so much more.
It is about righteousness, peace, and joy through the work of the Holy Spirit within us.
The Kingdom of God is when the body, children of God get together and worship Jesus.
Jesus teaches multiple parables on the Kingdom of Heaven in Matthew 13.
Jesus uses a mustard seed as an illustration in Matthew 13:31-32
Matthew 13:31–32 NASB95
31 He presented another parable to them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field; 32 and this is smaller than all other seeds, but when it is full grown, it is larger than the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches.”
The more we do as Jesus called us to do, which is go forth and make disciples, the more the Kingdom of God grows.
Jesus uses a hidden treasure in Matthew 13:44
Matthew 13:44 NASB95
44 “The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in the field, which a man found and hid again; and from joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.
We should do whatever it takes to build the kingdom of God.
The kingdom of God, our salvation, and sharing the love of Jesus Christ should be the most valuable things in our lives.
The Kingdom Focused Family Church is just beginning, we are praying that God will send the people that He would have build and grow this church.
As of right now the church is just virtual, and will have some Bible studies/services on Facebook live, YouTube, and other ways.
As God blesses and grows His church, we will begin to look for a place to meet in person.
As of right now we will be looking at northwest Citrus County, that being north of Crystal River, but south of Inglis.
If anyone knows of a place that we could meet in person for services in the coming weeks, months, please reach out to us.
If anyone is interested in joining us, to help us, please reach out.
This church is not about what I want, but what God desires to do with His people to reach the lost, and those that do not feel like they have found their home church, their family.
