You need a guide and the right tools to be successful.
Nehemiah a cup barrer
GOD is going to do a work in him.
GOD ‘s people rebelled so GOD disciplined them with the Babylonian Captivity.
Nehemiah was the one to bring GOD’s people back to Jerusalem that was Ezra, but he will be the one that bring security and rebuild the damage.
Nehemiah 4:1–3 “1 When Sanballat heard that we were rebuilding the wall, he became furious. He mocked the Jews 2 before his colleagues and the powerful men of Samaria and said, “What are these pathetic Jews doing? Can they restore it by themselves? Will they offer sacrifices? Will they ever finish it? Can they bring these burnt stones back to life from the mounds of rubble?” 3 Then Tobiah the Ammonite, who was beside him, said, “Indeed, even if a fox climbed up what they are building, he would break down their stone wall!””
We meet these to guys in chapter 2 of Nehemiah as mocked and despised GOD’s people.
Nehemiah 2:20 “20 I gave them this reply, “The God of the heavens is the one who will grant us success. We, his servants, will start building, but you have no share, right, or historic claim in Jerusalem.””
Nehemiah 4:10–14 CSB
10 In Judah, it was said: The strength of the laborer fails, since there is so much rubble. We will never be able to rebuild the wall. 11 And our enemies said, “They won’t realize it until we’re among them and can kill them and stop the work.” 12 When the Jews who lived nearby arrived, they said to us time and again, “Everywhere you turn, they attack us.” 13 So I stationed people behind the lowest sections of the wall, at the vulnerable areas. I stationed them by families with their swords, spears, and bows. 14 After I made an inspection, I stood up and said to the nobles, the officials, and the rest of the people, “Don’t be afraid of them. Remember the great and awe-inspiring Lord, and fight for your countrymen, your sons and daughters, your wives and homes.”
26 days in they were discouraged
Nehemiah refocused them to the task at hand a signed new roles for some as he encouraged.
Nehemiah reminded them who they served and told them to fight!
Nehemiah 6:15–16 CSB
15 The wall was completed in fifty-two days, on the twenty-fifth day of the month Elul. 16 When all our enemies heard this, all the surrounding nations were intimidated and lost their confidence, for they realized that this task had been accomplished by our God.
The wall was finished in 52 days. What was thought to be a losing battle was finished in record time.
The People around them notice GOD at work.
We are not building a wall but we are building the Kingdom.
Lets show other what GOD can accomplish in this Church.
So how do we focus on building the kingdom?
We can look at the New Testament Church.
We are going to look at 3 passages.
Acts 2:46–47 CSB
46 Every day they devoted themselves to meeting together in the temple, and broke bread from house to house. They ate their food with joyful and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. Every day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved.

Joyful and sincere hearts
Praising GOD
Every day the LORD add to their numbers.
So were do we look for our Guiding Principles?
Jesus gives us these Guiding Principles in 2 passages of scripture.
Matthew 22:34–40 CSB
34 When the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, they came together. 35 And one of them, an expert in the law, asked a question to test him: 36 “Teacher, which command in the law is the greatest?” 37 He said to him, Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. 38 This is the greatest and most important command. 39 The second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. 40 All the Law and the Prophets depend on these two commands.”
Matthew 28:19–20 CSB
19 Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
