MY CONVERSION FOR EVANGELICALS

In 1983 living in a communist and Catholic Poland not knowing about God and His Word, I was addicted to alcohol and left by my girlfriend, I repeatedly tried to overcome my addictions and change my life on my own but failed miserably because of my pathetic will power.

And when I was about to give up, somehow I was inspired to give God a chance. And for the first time in my life I prayed on my knees with tears in my eyes begging God, I wasn't sure he existed, to do for me what I couldn't achieve on my own. Soon after that first honest and heartfelt prayer, God sent someone who brought me a book titled "the Great Controversy" written by Ellen G. White.

At that time Poland was mostly Catholic country with many atheists, communists, about 100,000 Jehovah’s witnesses, similar number Evangelical Christians and only 5000 Seventh Day Adventists with 20-30 Adventist colporteurs. It would be much easier for God to use one of the evangelical Christians to share the gospel with me, but no, God used one of those 20 Adventist colporteurs and inspired him to find me among 35 million people to answer my prayer and reveal the truth to me.

Reading the Great Controversy by Ellen White, I was so impressed by Holy Spirit that I never experienced anything like that before. I couldn't understand how it was possible I never heard about those incredible truths.

Immediately I bought the Bible, started studying it and praying on a daily basis, fell in love with the truth and I was born from the Spirit. As a result, by the power of God I was free from drinking and smoking and my entire life was changed.

Since that time God performed miracles in my life, answered many prayers, healed me twice instantly, I saw my angel who helped me to carry Bibles and books by Ellen White and disappeared, God used me to preach the fully restored gospel based on the book of Romans.

To our Evangelical Brothers and Sisters, I would say, please, before you condemn Ellen White, read her books, especially the Desire of Ages and Steps to Christ.

And study the book of Revelation and Daniel because they clearly reveal that after 1260 years of papal dominion and persecution (538 AD-1798 AD) and at the end of the longest prophetic period of 2300 years (Dan 8:14) which ended in 1844, God was to raise a new movement that was to "keep God's commandments" (including the Sabbath commandment) and "have the testimony of Jesus"  which is the "spirit of prophecy" (Rev 19:10).

And exactly in 1844 God raised the Advent Movement that was to proclaim to the world the 3 angels message of Rev 14. And in the very same year Ellen White received the first of 2000 visions (the “spirit of prophecy” of Rev 19:10 was revealed).

Today, over 40 years after my conversion and joining the Advent Movement, everything I can say is that the longer I live, pray and abide in God's Word, the stronger is my assurance that the SDA movement and Ellen White were called by God.

Yes, the SDA Church is not perfect and there are still many legalists there, but it is God’s constantly attacked by the enemy Church, and honest Evangelical and other Sunday-keeping Christians need and will join her before the return of our Lord and together will follow the Lamb wherever He goes in the power of Holy Spirit.
