“Talk for your soul that will make you whole.”
Sunday Soul Talk is a platform where I take biblical concepts and relate them to everyday life. For some, the Bible may seem complex or even boring. You may even ask yourself; how does this book even apply to me? Well, It is my goal with the help of the Holy Spirit to make the scriptures come alive and become relevant to your soul and have you feeling whole afterwards.
So, if you’re home and if you’re just getting up out of bed, sit back and relax with a cup of coffee or tea and tune in.

Our discussion this morning is entitled: “Motherhood”
Introduction
Introduction
Today is a special day. All throughout the world, people are celebrating their Mother’s. Mother’s Day is special because God chose to use women to be the carrier of life. Everyone watching me right now came into this world through a woman. Regardless of how you came into the world, regardless of the circumstances surrounding your birth, and in spite of your upbringing, we all have one thing in common and that is a Mother. For some of us, today might be a tough day to get through because your mother may no longer be with you and I’m praying for you. I’m praying that you will be able to reflect and rejoice over the good times you did have with your mother and that you are able to celebrate the life, legacy and impact your mother had upon you. I would also say do not spend this day alone, but please spend it with family and/or friends.
Mother’s Day is also special because it’s a day that is dedicated to expressing your love, appreciation, and gratitude to your mother and mother figures for the significant role they have played in our lives. So on today, if you are a Mother or even if you do not have any children, you may be an Auntie or a Motherly figure to many, regardless of what your status is: we celebrate you and wish you a Happy Mother’s Day!
Today’s message is dedicated to all Mothers, Aunties, and Motherly figures.
Foundational Scripture:
Foundational Scripture:
She is clothed with strength and dignity,
and she laughs without fear of the future.
When she speaks, her words are wise,
and she gives instructions with kindness.
She carefully watches everything in her household
and suffers nothing from laziness.
Her children stand and bless her.
Her husband praises her:
The scripture I just read is a strong testament of motherhood and it perfectly describes motherhood to a tee in my opinion. As I was reading the passage of scripture, it definitely made me think of my mother.
On this morning, I will use this verse and others to speak about why our Mother’s are so important and even though today is recognized as the day we celebrate Mother’s Day, in my opinion, every day is Mother’s Day and mothers should always be celebrated.
Let’s go back to the Garden of Eden. the Bible says in Gen 3:20
Then the man—Adam—named his wife Eve, because she would be the mother of all who live.
So Eve was the first mother. Now Eve was created in perfection by God but once she sinned, she became marred by sin, and her sin affected her family. Why am I bringing this up? I feel compelled to because some of us may be upset with our Mother’s because we may feel like they did not do right by us. And that very well may be true. Some of us may have been deserted by our Mother, maybe your mother’s bad decisions caused pain for you and your siblings as you were growing up. But in the end, she is still your mother and you will never be able to change that. If that is your situation, then I’m praying for reconciliation and I’m praying that you will ask God to help you to forgive your Mother. Even though today is a special day for many, it could be a painful day for you because of many factors. There are times in life when we find it almost impossible in and of ourselves to forgive but when we come to that juncture, we can always pray and ask for God’s help and He will provide the grace to do what might seem impossible for us. And even if you never get an apology, forgiveness is for you, it’s for you to keep your peace because bitterness, anger, and resentment not dealt with is often carried over to others and it causes us to be miserable within. So I’m praying for you.
So now I want to break down the foundational scripture.
