INTRODUCTION

Henderson writes, “When I pray in tongues, a door opens for me in the spirit that allows me entrance into places where mysteries are revealed.”

TWO WORLDS AT ONE TIME

Henderson writes, “As a result of Jesus’ absolute obedience and willingness to divest Himself of His God powers and live within human limitations, God the Father highly exalted Him. My main point, however, is that rather than functioning in His God powers, Jesus lived as a man filled with God.”
Read John 14:12. Henderson writes, “Jesus could make this statement because He did not operate as God while on the earth. He operated as a man filled with God through the Holy Spirit. The same power Jesus exhibited is the power we can walk in today because it operates through the ministry of the Holy Spirit, whom Jesus was filled with when He was baptized in Luke 3:21–22.”
Henderson writes, “As we speak in tongues, pray and minister to the Lord, we are able to live in two dimensions, or worlds, at one time. Operating in tongues is an irrefutable necessity for us if we are to function as Jesus did. Tongues open the spirit world to us so we can behold mysteries in that unseen realm.

STEWARDING THE MYSTERIES

Henderson writes, “The principle concerning mysteries is basically this: Mysteries are only revealed to those who long for God.”
Read Deuteronomy 29:29. What were the Israelites responsible for doing since God had revealed mysteries to them?
Read 1 Corinthians 4:1. What does it mean for us today to be stewards of the mysteries of God?”

STEPPING INTO REVELATION’S REALM

Henderson writes, “I believe there are some necessities for the Church’s function and assignment that are yet to be unveiled. This means that we need to pray in tongues, as the Spirit grants us utterance. We need to allow this gift of tongues to unlock our understanding, showing forth hidden truths that will be required for what we have been called to do.”
