Gospel to Counterfeit

Galatians 1:6–10 “6 I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel; 7 which is really not another; only there are some who are disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! 9 As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed! 10 For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ.”
Here in the book of Galatians we find the Apostle Paul introducing and a letter to the Churches in Galatia. This area is south of the Roman province and was evangelized by Paul and Barnabas during Paul’s first missionary journey. The ‘Galatians’ would then most likely be the converts of Derbe, Lystra, Iconium, ‘Pisidian’ Antioch, and doubtless other small places whose names are unrecorded. This is verified by the exegetical commentary TNTC. We know from this information at least 5 congregations are being affected and very possibly several others. Paul not willing to accept this perversion of the Gospel which is being taught pleas with the Church to set aside this false teaching and continue in the True Gospel of Jesus.
Point 1 - Disillusioned
Point 2 - Penalty
Point 3 - Acceptance
Point One - Disillusioned
Here we see Paul flabbergasted at what has been reported to him either by messenger or by letter. Paul begins this portion of his letter with a different style then many of his other letters.
The problem is the new believers are being disillusioned by the words and teachings of someone who is not preaching and teaching the true Gospel the word of our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ. Someone has come in and is teaching a false teaching, evidently one that sound a lot like the truth but is missing or adding some component to the word of God.
1 John 4:1–3 “1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God; 3 and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world.”
As believers we should be discerning the spirits in the air. We should be able to distinguish and process those that are of God from those who are of Satan. The scripture that he comes as a thief in the night looking to take what is not rightfully his, Or as a roaring lion seeking whom may devour, He comes at us as a great deceiver, liar who can not stand the truth or anything that is Good.
We can not be disillusioned by fancy words, Charisma, Italian suits, and people who are willing to sale their souls to the devil to combat the truth of the Gospel. The scripture says they have form of Godliness but fail to acknowledge the Power of that truth. If we are not discerning the spirits correctly we too can fall into this same place. Where we start believing works over grace, or confession over belief. These words are all good scriptural words if used in context and in the correct order. We can not allow someone to cause us to falter because they present a false doctrine that sounds right but is twisted by the words used to express that so called truth.
Point 2 - Penalty for false teaching- wow
the scripture here uses the word accursed not once but twice in as many scriptures. What does it mean to be accursed- after some study on the word acccursed or in the Greek anathema you will find it is to be banned from or excommunicated, kept from
This may seem like a harsh statement but I will say it any way. As Christians and believers in Christ we need to ensure what we are teaching and telling others about is the truth of the Gospel not a percieved idea of the truth. This is why we must stay routed and ground like the tree beside the still waters, we must remain in the vine, Truth not misinterpertations of the truth or something completely taken out of context.
Let me make this clear in some one is accursed then they have no place in Heaven they will be like satan, death, and the anti-christ they will have a final resting place in the lake of Fire, Hell whaling and nashing of teeth, unable to forget why your there, pitch black so dark every step you take you expect to fall off the cliff.
Point 3 - Acceptance - Who do you desire to accept you? Do you want to be accepted by the world of today or by the God of creation. This is the ultimate question. You can either desire to be lifted up by man in todays society and receive a reward here on earth, or you can choose to be exalted upon the day of the return of Jesus the Christ. Remember you have been given the free will to make such a decision that will effect the remainder of your life. In being lifted up in todays time simply says I have no faith and do not believe the scriptures which God Himself inspired. This is a reckless and dangerous path that leads to the ultimate anguish ever know to mankind or anyone else.
Matthew 7:13–14 “13 “Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. 14 “For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.”
“Plunged into utter destruction”
“given over to black chaos in utter destruction”

perdition, consisting in everlasting exclusion from the Messiah’s kingdom, together with certain positive torments, eternal in their duration.

Matthew 7:13
Romans 9:22
Hebrew 10:39
We must remember that our choices in life have consequences and those consequences can either be unimaginable, or perdition.
Point 1 - Disillusioned
Point 2 - Penalty
Point 3 - Acceptance
In closing we need to understand and apply this word to our lives. The question is how do we see these things and how do we by pass a penalty for not teaching his word, and know we are being accepted by those who serve the same Living God. Our world is full of those who hate God’s word or simply do not believe, we must be willing to sacrifice everything for the building of His Kingdom…….
