Let’s be still before God. Let’s close our eyes, and let’s be still. In the silence of this room, our Father, we acknowledge Your presence. Our head, the Lord Jesus, watches over those of us who worship. You are the God of our disappointments as much as the God of our dreams. You are the God of our successes as much as the God of our failures. You are the God of our gains as much as [the God] of our losses. The God of our laughter and the God of our grief. May our souls be still before You, our sovereign God. We worship You, Father, in the name of Christ, we pray. And everyone said Amen. You may be seated.
TITHE and OFFERING
We will call on the ushers to pass around the offering plates so we can collect our tithe and offering. The worship team will lead us [again] with a song as we collect our tithes and offerings.
PRAYER FOR TITHE and OFFERING
Father God, Lord our God, we have none other but You. You have the Word of eternal life, [which is why] we have reserved these gifts for You. This money passes from our purses and wallets into our hands and into these plates to be used for Your greater glory. I pray that You superintend the expenditure of these funds. Watch over them and give us generous hearts and joyful spirits as we give to You today, our holy God. In the name of the Lord Jesus, we pray.
WELCOME
Welcome, everyone, to our Sunday Worship Service. Please stand up, greet some folks around you, and welcome them to worship. Our first-time visitors, please stand so we can see you. We also welcome all who join us online. Happy Mother’s Day. I hope that all mothers have a great day. We wish you all a Happy Mother’s Day and want all mothers to be treated right—no washing dishes for you on Mother’s Day.

🌸Mother’s Day Celebration 🌸
Today is Mother’s Day, and I am honored to introduce our guest speaker, Paula Shelton. Paula is married to Danny and is blessed with two children and a granddaughter. She is a woman who loves God deeply and is committed to her family and the local church. Without further ado, please join me in welcoming Paula to the pulpit as she ministers God’s Word to us today.
Call to Action
If you are here today and don’t know Jesus, I want you to come to the Cross, give your life to Christ, and trust Jesus to be your Savior. If you need prayer, please come forward so we can pray for you. Let’s stand on our feet.
Benediction
Father, we pray that as we celebrate this Mother’s Day, where adjustments need to be made, we will make those adjustments. I thank the mothers who have made that adjustment and don’t allow the outside to compete or conflict with the inside. I pray for the single parents who have a double duty because they don’t have the help that they desperately need. I pray that you will give them new strength and provide them with husbands. You said let the young women marry. Then we pray for husbands, for the young women. Both those who are single parents and those who are not parents at all. But not just males, men. Men who will stand tall, take responsibility, and say, as for me and my house. So, we pray for that Lord. We pray that through the family, first supported and supplemented by the church, we will have a great harvest for the Kingdom of God. We know this is not a popular message for the day, but, Lord, we are not called to be popular. We are called to be biblical, so give us a biblical word for this, church. May we not compromise the truth of the word to satisfy the demands of a culture, and we know, Lord, that there are difficult situations and trying ones, and we don’t want to lessen that, but neither do we want to acquiesce to it. We will give you all the glory in the name of Jesus, and we pray, Amen.
May God give you a great Mother’s Day?
