-rich
-sinner (short, “fallen short…”)

-lived in rich city, Jericho
Zaccheus response
-seeking, climbing the tree, seeking more than his riches
-Christ’s message and ministry attracted him
Jesus knocks on door of hated man
-Jesus calling out to us hearts
-Zaccheus didn’t mind people seeing Him accepting Jesus’ invite, wasn’t ashamed
Zaccheus accepts Jesus into His house
-responds JOYFULLY
-HAS A CHANGE OF HEART
-he is now forsaking his former ways
-has compassion for those he ripped off
-”seek and you will find” “my sheep hear my voice”
-he is now satisfied, moreso than with all his riches
-he now has spiritual riches
“blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness…filled”
“Jesus seeks those who seek Him”
(redeemed past, transformed present, redirected the future)
