Big Idea: Embracing and trusting in the infinite power of God allows us to navigate life's challenges with assurance and hope, through Christ who strengthens us.
Illustration:
One day, a pastor found himself struggling to lift a heavy load of groceries. An exuberant child nearby watched him and said, 'Why don’t you just ask for help?' The pastor laughed and explained that sometimes we forget to ask God for His strength. Just like that child’s innocent suggestion, God is waiting for us to lean on His infinite power. It’s not just for the big stuff; it’s for our everyday burdens too!

Bible Passage: Ephesians 3:14–20

14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height—19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

1. Bow in His Presence

Ephesians 3:14-16
Perhaps focusing on how Paul begins his prayer by bowing before the Father, recognizing our need to humble ourselves before God's immense power. Reflecting on our own lives, consider how starting with humility and seeking God's strength in prayer can transform our hearts and help us face challenges.

2. Breathe His Love

Ephesians 3:17-18
You could explore how Christ dwelling in our hearts through faith makes us comprehend the vastness of His love. Emphasize the breadth, length, height, and depth of God's incredible love and its transformative power in believers' lives. Maybe discuss how understanding this love empowers us to love others and changes our perspective on our struggles, encouraging an outward and expansive love in action.

3. Believe in His Power

Ephesians 3:19-20
Perhaps delve into the reality of God's power, which goes beyond our imagination. Reflect on how God's purpose for us is accomplished through His power that is at work within us, fostering hope and confidence in His plans. You could encourage believers to dream boldly and trust deeply, knowing that God's ability is beyond human understanding or expectation.
