2. A ruler in a synagogue near Capernaum whose only daughter, about twelve years of age, was raised from the dead by Jesus (

TALITA CUMI (ταλιθὰ κοῦμι, talitha koumi; Ταλειθὰ κούμ, Taleitha koum). Expresión siríaco-aramea utilizada por Jesús al sanar a la hija de Jairo, que significa: “Niña, ¡levántate!”.

Before Jesus arrived at Jairus’ house, however, the little girl died. Jesus reassured Jairus and entered the house with Peter, James, and John. Taking the girl by the hand, Jesus restored her to life, showing His power over death.

Both Jairus and the poor woman found the answers to their needs at the feet of Jesus (Mark 5:22 and 33) Warren W. Wiersbe - The Bible Exposition Commentary
Jairus was no doubt wealthy; but his wealth could not save his dying daughter. The woman was already bankrupt! Warren W. Wiersbe - The Bible Exposition Commentary
What does Mark accomplish by sandwiching the woman’s story into the story of Jairus? Jairus and the woman have only one thing in common: both are victims of desperate circumstances who have no hope apart from Jesus. James R. Edwards - The Gospel according to Mark
