Whats your Refuge
Whats your Refuge
Vacation at Refuge
Is God my Refuge?
Thats a Hard question when you really ask it to your self.
WHAT IS REFUGE?
Almost 100 appearances in the old testament
Refuge -place of safety, a sanctuary, or a source of protection from danger or distress. Comfort or support in a time of need.
SOURCE is what the Lord told me he was
There is two man uses that its used for. The “CITYS OF REFUGE” and Refuge spiritually.
I do not find this to be a mistake. I believe what God is telling us is that God is our Refuge in all things. This world from real things and also for our souls. He keeps us from the dark places in our minds and also the Dark plans the enemy has for us physically.
Psalm 34:8 Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good!
Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!
sing for joy
Psalm 5:11 But let all who take refuge in you rejoice let them ever sing for joy, and spread your protection over them, that those who lover your name may exult in you.
But there is a wrong form of Refuge
Psalm 52:7 ““See the man who would not make God his refuge, but trusted in the abundance of his riches and sought refuge in his own destruction!””
We can see that what we put our REFUGE in directly impacts our lives
What I saw studying this in I sums this up well. Watch out there some scorchers in here.
Isaiah Starts early defining REFUGE
Isaiah 4:6 “There will be a booth for shade by day from the heat, and for a refuge and a shelter from the storm and rain.”
Then he tells us where our Refuge should be
Isaiah 14:32 “What will one answer the messengers of the nation? “The Lord has founded Zion, and in her the afflicted of his people find refuge.””
Then Isaiah Shows us where we actually put our Refuge
Isaiah 17:10 “For you have forgotten the God of your salvation and have not remembered the Rock of your refuge; therefore, though you plant pleasant plants and sow the vine-branch of a stranger,”
Isaiah 28:15 “Because you have said, “We have made a covenant with death, and with Sheol we have an agreement, when the overwhelming whip passes through it will not come to us, for we have made lies our refuge, and in falsehood we have taken shelter”;”
Basically Telling us what gonna happen with our fake Refuge
Isaiah 28:17 “And I will make justice the line, and righteousness the plumb line; and hail will sweep away the refuge of lies, and waters will overwhelm the shelter.””
Isaiah 30:2 “who set out to go down to Egypt, without asking for my direction, to take refuge in the protection of Pharaoh and to seek shelter in the shadow of Egypt!”
Isaiah 57:13 “When you cry out, let your collection of idols deliver you! The wind will carry them all off, a breath will take them away. But he who takes refuge in me shall possess the land and shall inherit my holy mountain.”
I was blown away by this. This was the Message the Lord gave me!!!
Are We Refugies of the Kingdom?
Do we seek out the Lord when things get tough or do we seach something new?
