Memorial Day

Joshua 4:6–7 “That this may be a sign among you, that when your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean ye by these stones? Then ye shall answer them, That the waters of Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the Lord; when it passed over Jordan, the waters of Jordan were cut off: and these stones shall be for a memorial unto the children of Israel for ever.”

Psalm 144:15 “Happy is that people, that is in such a case: Yea, happy is that people, whose God is the Lord.”

Psalm 33:12 “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; And the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.”

Introduction:

Finally after 40 years of wondering, it time to cross over and claim there land that God gave them. Always remember it all belongs to him anyway. God news, we get to go in, Bad news, we will to fight, Good news, God will fight with us and for us, PTL.

This is one of several things God has done as a Memorial, something to remember, not forget.

Liken the Rainbow, communion, prints in His hands, side and feet, these 12 stones.

Memorial Day is not just a day off but a day to remember, honor and thank.

I. Gods Army: Join by Salvation ( Get Saved).

Ecclesiastes 8:8 “There is no man that hath power over the spirit to retain the spirit; neither hath he power in the day of death: and there is no discharge in that war; neither shall wickedness deliver those that are given to it.”

A. Because: there is a war for the souls of man, Raging,Boiling, Violent.

B. Enlist: join Gods forces, Called the Church.

1. Something about corporate power. Even a lion give room to a pack of baboons, they usuallylet them through. They know the power of corporate cooperation.

2. We exalt God when we all work together to Glorify and exalt Him. Overcome our difference for His Honor, Glory and Cause.

3. Saved, Baptized, Serve. Wear the uniform of a man of God Proud, Well, Grateful.

C. When you join: You

Encourage, Inspire, Motivate others to be part.

Add to the corporate power: take Army, Navy, Marines, Air force working together produces great power combined.

Exalts God: letting the world know what side of the fence you are on.

Standing together: for a dire cause: The Souls Of Men.

Also we Aline in being obedience to God.

II. Gods Training: Boot Camp, Every Branch a must.

2 Timothy 2:4–5 “No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.” ”

A. Every military personal is trained, Boot camp is not optional. Each branch has its speciality.

B. Every Christian needs to be trained to be a witness, a soul winner, a bible student.

1. Gain: Ability, Proficiency, Capacity, Know how, Mastery.

2. Raise to our full potential and beyond, but not without some solid training..

3. Learn: to be on Guard, what Duty is, what we have been Commissioned to do. How to do it, and do it well.

III. Gods Engagement: Enter The Harvest Field, Lock and Load, you have now enter Enemy territory.

A. Pastor, you cant be a novice Pastor ( you can be, but it is not Gods idea).

1 Timothy 3:6 “Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.”

B. Train to be Battle Ready. Our military personnel are doing this over and over, to be Battle Ready. Called Boot Camp, Maneuvers!

1. Psalm 144:1 “Blessed be the Lord my strength, Which teacheth my hands to war, And my fingers to fight:”

2. Psalm 149:6 “Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a twoedged sword in their hand;”

3. 1 Chronicles 12:33 “Of Zebulun, such as went forth to battle, expert in war, with all instruments of war, fifty thousand, which could keep rank: they were not of double heart.”

4. 1 Chronicles 12:35–36 “And of the Danites expert in war twenty and eight thousand and six hundred. And of Asher, such as went forth to battle, expert in war, forty thousand.”

C. Satan loves to keep people: Uninvolved, Side tracked, Confused.
