Gal 5:16-26
Matthew 7:15-20
Fruit a result of doing what God commanded. God commands everything to bring forth fruit.
Gen 1:11
¶And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. m
John 12:24 Jesus stresses the importance of dying so you can live and produce.
In order produce there has to be a death. The first part of lesson shows what we should die to.
What we notice is that in order to produce there has to be a death.
Love—affection, good will, love, benevolence, brotherly love
Joy—χαρά chará, khar-ah'; from G5463; cheerfulness, i.e. calm delight:—gladness, × greatly, (X be exceeding) joy(-ful, -fully, -fulness, -ous).
Peace—a state of national tranquillity->(free from disturbance; calm)
Longsuffering—patience, endurance, constancy, steadfastness, perseverance
Gentleness—moral goodness, integrity
Goodness—uprightness of heart and life, goodness, kindness
Faith—belief with the predominate idea of trust (or confidence) whether in God or in Christ, springing from faith in the same
fidelity, faithfulness
the character of one who can be relied on
Meekness—gentleness, mildness, meekness
Temperance—self-control (the virtue of one who masters his desires and passions, esp. his sensual appetites)—>
strong, robust having power over, possessed of (a thing)
mastering, controlling, curbing, restraining
controlling one's self, temperate, continent
