PAUL The Apostle
PAUL The Apostle
Good evening,
I’m Gwane Martin From WDTN Channel 2 News in Dayton, Ohio.
In tonight's segment, we answer the question who was the Apostle Paul?
Outside of Jesus, Paul is the most influential figure in the Christian Faith
Before he became a Christian, He was known as Saul a Jewish Pharisee who was known for persecuting people who followed Jesus. He had a life-changing moment on the road to Damascus, where he encountered Jesus. This experience led to his conversion and the decision to change his name to Paul.
Paul wrote a bunch of letters to various Christian communities and individuals, which are now included in the New Testament. These letters, known as the Pauline epistles, were addressed to places like Romans, Corinthians, and Galatians, as well as individuals like Timothy and Titus.
As an apostle and missionary, Paul traveled extensively to spread the gospel and help build Christian communities. His writings and missionary work had a huge impact on the growth of early Christianity and continue to shape Christian beliefs and practices today.
