The Bible recognizes no faith that does not lead to obedience, nor does it recognize any obedience that does not spring from faith. The two are opposite sides of the same coin.
A. W. Tozer
… obedience is taught throughout the entire Bible… true obedience is one of the toughest requirements of the Christian life. Apart from obedience, there can be no salvation, for salvation without obedience is a self-contradictory impossibility.8
A. W. Tozer
When a person, yielding to God and believing the truth of God, is filled with the Spirit of God, even his faintest whisper will be worship.
A. W. Tozer
Paul found victory by yielding to the Spirit of God.
J. Vernon McGee
Imagine trying to bake a cake without following the recipe. You skip the eggs, use salt instead of sugar, and wonder why it flops! Similarly, our obedience to Christ is like following a divine recipe for our lives. When we heed His words, the sweet results bring joy not just to us but to others—just like the perfect cake shared at a party!
The key to freedom from what we were is constant reliance on the active presence of the Spirit.
Robert H. Mounce
For most of us the voice of self-reliance is ten times louder than the bell that tolls for the hours of prayer.
John Piper
Yielding to Jesus will break every form of slavery in any human life.
Oswald Chambers (Lecturer and Missionary)
If you don’t surrender to Christ you surrender to chaos.
Eli Stanley Jones (Missionary Statesman)
The best way to control our thoughts is to offer the mind to God in complete surrender.5
