We Fight From A Place Of Victory Not For Victory Because We Have Already Won The Battle Joshua 6:1 Now Jericho was straitly shut up because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in. 2 And the LORD said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valour.

To begin with brothers and sisters, I want to teach talk and tells that We Fight From A Place Of Victory Not For Victory Because We Have Already Won The Battle. In Life we have to begin with the end in mind. We have to have our mind, body and most of all spirit ready for success.

I say that because the bible says that Moses is dead and now Joshua is in charge, God tells Joshua in Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. 9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

In Joshua Chapter 2 God tells Joshua to send 2 spies out to Jericho and told them to and come back with a report. The spies came back and said Rahab the harlot hid us out and said them folk are terrified of us but please spare her and her family when she puts out the red rope because she was the woman that saved our lives when she hid us out from the king of Jericho.

In Chapters 3 & 4 Joshua received orders to move ten miles down the river road to cross the Jordan River.

When they got there God said to Joshua in Joshua 3:7 And the LORD said unto Joshua, This day will I begin to magnify thee in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that, as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee. When God fixes it can’t nobody else mess it up.

God said Joshua,,,, tell the whole congregation to sanctify themselves that means that everybody take a bath and wash in fuller’s soap and put on fresh new clothes and anoint your body with oil and the word of God in your hearts and then get ready to follow the priests. Tell the priests that after they are sanctified, God said I want them to hold the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord then step in the edge of Jordan River. Preachers ,just let the waters touch your feet and ankle bones and then stop. I found out through research that God had stop the waters of the Jordan River 20 miles back, yeah 3x almost to Mt Hermon where the Jordan River starts God! had stopped the water. Ain’t God Alright.

The priests job was to stands in the Middle of the Dried Up Jordan River while 2 million of The children of Israel march through the Jordan River in dry land.. Each Tribe Leader got A Stone out of the Jordan River to Represent the 12 Tribes of Israel.

Then in Joshua Chapter 5 Israel prepares for victory. You can’t just jump in the koolide and not know what flavor it is. First of All Israel has to renew it’s covenant with God to keep in right relationship with Him. Secondly Israel is a covenant nation Israel had has and will ever have a privilege that no other nation on earth share with God. Somebody say Leave Israel alone.

Thirdly before the Children of Israel could inherit the promised land that flowed with milk and honey all the men had to be circumsized. And that tells me that even good people can forget to do the right thing. Moses had it where if they were not circumsized that they couldn’t participate in the passover. So the children had some straightening up to do.

They had to

#1. Renew the Lord’s covenant

#2 Remember the Lord’s Goodness, and

#3 Reaffirm the Lord’s presence.

And lastly Joshua had an encounter with the Angel of the Lord. the bible says in Joshua 5:13 When Joshua was near the town of Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with sword in hand. Joshua went up to him and demanded, “Are you friend or foe?” 14 “Neither one,” he replied. “I am the commander of the LORD’s army.” At this, Joshua fell with his face to the ground in reverence. “I am at your command,” Joshua said. “What do you want your servant to do?” 15 The commander of the LORD’s army replied, “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy.” And Joshua did as he was told. Brothers and sisters you got to act right when you come in the presence of holiness. ATCSA

And here we are in Joshua chapter 6 where the conflict begins. And let me say this every Christian soldier has to fight sometimes Joshua said I am at your command. and the old Christian martars tells us no cross no crown. God talks to Joshua exclusively.

Joshua Chapter 6 says Now the gates of Jericho were tightly shut because the people were afraid of the Israelites. No one was allowed to go out or in. 2 But the LORD said to Joshua, “I have given you Jericho, its king, and all its strong warriors. 3 You and your fighting men should march around the town once a day for six days. 4 Seven priests will walk ahead of the Ark, each carrying a ram’s horn. On the seventh day you are to march around the town seven times, with the priests blowing the horns. 5 When you hear the priests give one long blast on the rams’ horns, have all the people shout as loud as they can. Then the walls of the town will collapse, and the people can charge straight into the town.”

I see several things here

#1. We fight from victory not just for victory. Jericho was shut down Nobody in and Nobody out. Shut it Down!

#2. The Lord said Joshua I’ve given you their king and most fierce warriors . Joshua You Got The City. In other words in verse 2 we fight from victory not just for victory. The battle has already been fought in the spirit realm and the victory has been won in heaven. Teach Me Pastor Allen

#3. The LORD said Joshua you and your warriors march around the city one time a day. (!Follow orders like they are given!!!)

#4. Make sure you have 7 Priests and the ARK OF THE COVENANT going before you. Put the Lord and the Pastor first and everything else will work out fine.

#5. The Lord said Joshua on that 7th day Make sure all the priests blow their horns. In other words if they got a hoop that’ll be the perfect time to use it. Tell the priest to blow their horns and to crank it up like they in the SU Human Jukebox Marching Band, that’s often imitated but never duplicated.

#6. The Lord said Joshua command that all of Israel shout to the top of their voices. They probably said “The LORD hath given you the city. Brothers and sisters the Lord is Mighty and He’s Strong in Battle Oh Lordy” Then the walls will utterly fall down flat and you and your people can go right in there.

And so the bible says that when the Good Lord has finished giving Joshua the military strategy

Joshua said come one come all and listen how Jericho is going to fall. um um um.

The Lord told me that you’ll 7 priests to go get your horns and march before the Ark of the covenant um um um

And I want armed guards marching before the priest and the ARK And I want armed guards marching behind the Ark of the Covenant Yes

And Joshua said I want y’all to march around the entire city of Jericho then come back to the camp. Um Um Um yes. The Israelite Army marched around the city One time then the next day they did the same thing. And the bible says that they marched around Jericho city for six days Oh Lord And nobody said a word.

But oh on the 7th day God made time stand still and the children of Israel marched around Jericho 7 times and then shouted

The LORD hath given us the city 3x. And the walls of Jericho tumbling down. Oh Yes they did. And the children of Israel rushed on in and destroyed all the enemies.

They took the gold and sliver and iron for the The Lord’s Treasury. And the two spies rescued Rahab and all of her house yes they did.
