The Promise of God’s Provision (Phil 4:10-20)

Provider (My God shall supply)
Portion (All your need)
By his possessions (According to his riches in glory)
Need - anything necessary, but lacking; a state that requires supply or relief; oftentimes expressing urgency or something pressing.
Promise - a declaration, written or verbal, made by one person to another, which binds the person who makes it, either in honor, conscience or law, to do or forbear a certain act specified; a declaration which gives to the person to whom it is made, a right to expect or to claim the performance or forbearance of the act.
Say my boy wants a bicycle. He comes to me and asks for a bicycle and I tell him, “maybe someday.” I am not obligated to give him a bike, nor should he be expectant that I am going to give him a bike. But if I tell him, “I promise I will get you a bike,” then I am obligated to do that, and he is to be expectant that he will receive a bike.
God has promised us that he will provided for us
