Ephesians 1:4 “just as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him in love,”
John 1:13 “who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of a husband, but of God.”
2 Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not delaying the promise, as some consider slowness, but is being patient toward you, because he does not want any to perish, but all to come to repentance.”
Job 42:2 ““I know that you can do all things, and any scheme from you will not be thwarted.”
Genesis 50:20 “As for you, you planned evil against me, but God planned it for good, in order to do this—to keep many people alive—as it is today.”
Isaiah 45:7 “I form light and I create darkness; I make peace and I create evil; I am Yahweh; I do all these things.”
1 Peter 2:15 “For the will of God is as follows: by doing good to silence the ignorance of foolish people.”
1 Timothy 2:4 “who wants (thelo) all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.”
Deuteronomy 31:16 “And Yahweh said to Moses, “Look, you are about to lie down with your ancestors, and this people will arise and they will play the prostitute after the foreign gods of the land to which they are going.”
Ephesians 2:5 “and we being dead in trespasses, he made us alive together with Christ (by grace you are saved),”
Romans 6:20 “For when you were slaves of sin, you were free with respect to righteousness.”
Romans 3:9 “What then? Do we have an advantage? Not at all. For we have already charged both Jews and Greeks are all under sin,”
2 Corinthians 4:4 “among whom the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, so that they would not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.”
Romans 8:7 “because the mindset of the flesh is enmity toward God, for it is not subjected to the law of God, for it is not able to do so,”
Philippians 2:12–13 “Therefore my dear friends, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For the one at work in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure, is God.”
Hosea 2:14–22 “Therefore, Look! I am going to allure her and bring her into the desert, and I will speak tenderly to her. From there I will give her her vineyards, and the Valley of Achor as a doorway of hope. And there she will respond, as in the days of her youth, just as in the day of her coming out of the land of Egypt. And on that day— a declaration of Yahweh— you will call me, “My husband;” you will no longer call me, “My Baal.” I will remove the names of the Baals from her mouth, and they will no longer be mentioned by their name. I will make a covenant for them on that day, with the animals of the field, with the birds of the heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground; the bow, the sword, and the war I will abolish from the land, and I will let them lie down in safety. And I will take you as my wife forever; I will take you as a wife for myself in righteousness and in justice, in steadfast love and in mercy. I will take you as my wife in faithfulness, and you will know Yahweh.”
Theological synthesis: God is in the process of molding us in his image. To be earthly partners and to rule his creation under his wisdom. In order to be fully made in his image, he had to create humanity in a way that could, and ultimately did, chose ra. But this was the plan from the foundation of time in order that he could take people into the wilderness (calamity) and show us his heart. In order to be ushered into the perfect endless 7th day of creation. He will ultimately renew all of creation and he will abolish all of the forces of ra that plagued the human experience. He will do this through all the nations having a full revelation of his love. We love because he first loved us.
