Pericopy: Romans 5: 12 - 14

12 Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned— 13 for sin indeed was in the world before the law was given, but sin is not counted where there is no law. 14 Yet death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those whose sinning was not like the transgression of Adam, who was a type of the one who was to come.

Introduction

Before there was when or a where, the Supreme Authority form a beautiful world in the mist darkness. He gathered hydrogen atoms into a cosmic ball of plasm, and it radiated brightness which he called light and the darkness he called night. The world was a hellish mass, so he gathered water soaked the earth to cool it down. The Ultimate Power titled the world on a 24 degree axiom and spin it to make a 16 hour day where it created clouds to caused rain to fall. On the fourth day, He was very pleased at that. So, He created vegetation of various types, and bug. On the fifth day, the Holy Spirit enticed Him to go a step farther by creating animals. On the six day, the infinite wisdom of God created human beings of males and females. On the seventh day, He took a nap.

Problem

My introduction dose not connect with my pericopy directly. I will get to that in a moment. There is a disconnect with Adam because sin existence before Adam in Verse 14. If sin existed before Adam, who sinned? The story of the beginning starts with the word that identify God as Elohem, which is the plural form for God in Hebrew. Elohem means a collective or pantheon of sky gods also known as the people of the light. To get a gist of that, we have to look to Genesis 6: 1 - 7.
Genesis 6: 1 - 7
6 1 When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, 2 the sons of God saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. 3 Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” 4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown.
5 The LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And the LORD regretted that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him to his heart. 7 So the LORD said, “I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, man and animals and creeping things and birds of the heavens, for I am sorry that I have made them.
There is a paradoxical or conflicting statement in verse 13 where Paul states that Sin was not counted for Who? This was during the antediluvian period of the earth that affect mankind, which is called “the Younger Dryas.”

Resolution

Sin was very much part of human life. What is different, Sin brings death to our souls. We become a withered being and shrivel in our countenance. However, we can avoid the troubling wrath from God by “Focusing on Jesus Christ.”

Solution 1

First, begin praying to Jesus. We must open a dialog with the Master and begin a relationship with Him. Even if you don’t know how to pray, just speak His name and go from there. Communication begins through talking with the Son of God. Don’t worry if we are not sure if He is listening. Once we speak His name, He shows up, and He has your full attention. With newbie, He gives you all special care. He walks with you and talks with you, and live you not alone because the devil wants to knock you off the path of righteousness. Once He has connected with you, Jesus will never let you go alone.
Let’s take a look at what Jesus said in Matthews 5: 43 -48 about prayer.
Matt 5: 43 - 48
43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. 46 For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? 47 And if you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? 48 You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
I would Like to add 1 Timothy 2: 1 - 4.
2 First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, 2 for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. 3 This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Solution 2

Second, start reading the Bible. Building a relationship takes more than just prayer. Pray is the starting point. What we need is a road map to the various destinations that we must travel to understand the process in sustaining a relationship with Jesus. The road map is called the Bible. There are various versions of the Bible. The pastor loves King James but it is difficult to follow because it was translated in 1611 under the authority of King James by 72 church scholars. I prefer a more resent translation like the New International Version. It is written in today’s English format. The purpose to read the Bible is to find strength and guidance for the person’s life.
Let’s take a lesson from 2 Timothy 2: 1 - 7.

2 You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus, 2 and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also. 3 Share in suffering as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. 4 No soldier gets entangled in civilian pursuits, since his aim is to please the one who enlisted him. 5 An athlete is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules. 6 It is the hard-working farmer who ought to have the first share of the crops. 7 Think over what I say, for the Lord will give you understanding in everything.

Solution 3

Third, join a faith believing church. Christianity is a faith religion. To understand the faith, we must interact with the people of faith. Through the people of faith, we gather together share each other strengths and weakness to gain a comprehensive of the faith journey. Faith does not happen in a vacuum. It permeates through human development and social interaction.
Let’s look at 1 Timothy chapter 4: 6 - 10.

6 If you put these things before the brothers, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, being trained in the words of the faith and of the good doctrine that you have followed. 7 Have nothing to do with irreverent, silly myths. Rather train yourself for godliness; 8 for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come. 9 The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance. 10 For to this end we toil and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe.

Conclusion

In conclusion, believers find it easier to know the truth. The people of God should have experienced ample amount situations that get us to discern the difference from wickedness and good intensions. Paul preached to the Romans to get them to understand that there Sin will not go unpunished.
