Gods Love and Presence

God’s love is never changing.

What do you thing when you hear blessing? Gods presence is a blessing.

He wants to bless us. Imagine giving a car to someone.

Character over Calling

1 Chronicles 4:9–10 “Jabez was more honorable than his brothers, and his mother named him Jabez saying, “Because I bore him with pain.” Now Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, “Oh that You would bless me indeed and enlarge my border, and that Your hand might be with me, and that You would keep me from harm that it may not pain me!” And God granted him what he requested.”

Jabez = cursed or pain but he was Honorable.

what you do behind closed doors is who you really are. Best singer in the world but terrible character not making the worship team. Fantastic character only watch the voice also not making the team. your calling can only take you as far as your character is developed. Psalm 1:1–2 “How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night.”

Be Blessed

Jabez asked that he would be blessed and his borders be expanded which has two meanings

1 He would have more land

2 He would have more influence. But with more influence you need to make sure you still have a strong character because you are the bible that most people read. Like J John said “People don't become Christians because they have either never met a christian or they have meet a christian”

Gods Hand

We need complete reliance on God to provide for us (not us do nothing) God gives us the ability to work and make a living so we need to focus walking faithfully with Him and following His direction for our life.When i was a Kid and i had to do something i was nervous about like ordering my own food for the first time I was nervous but felt comfort in my dads hand on my shoulder and I was able to proceed with confidence.

The Big Three Points

Jabez had the Character God Wanted Psalm 1:1–2 “How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night.”

Jabez had the faith to ask God for a blessing even though he was cursed. so we need to ask as well from a pure heart. James 4:3 “You ask and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures.”

Jabez had a strong walk with God Colossians 2:6–7 “Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude.”

Leave today remembering Gods presence is our greatest blessing and work on a stronger character more faith with belife and a strong walk with God.
