What will the end be for you?

Most non-believers think that death is the end. If they have a belief in an afterlife, they believe everyone will go to heaven. This could not be further form the truth.
What are some words used for death?
Why do we not call it death?
Most people know that death is coming, but many deny it or believe they are not going to face the penalty for sin in life.
For many death will end only to result in a lake of fire. They will go from hell, the place they were sent because they rejected God and He let them be away from Him.
For those of us who are believers, death is something we should or do look forward to. I long for it.
Why?
Because I know it will bring the release and perfection I long for. It will fix everything I cannot fix now.
We are going to talk about the importance of maturity, specifically spiritual maturity in the sermon today…
Most religions offer some hope of life after death, only Christianity, the religion focused on Jesus has the true answer and true hope.
1 Timothy 6:16 ESV
16 who alone has immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see. To him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen.
You and I have a choice. We can live in the midst of death or we die in the midst of life. Christianity gives a hope that we live in the midst of death and will continue to live after death. This mortal body is temporary, but we are promised a new one.
The dog and the door…what do you long for, where are you going?
Philippians 3:20–21 ESV
20 But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.
Matthew 24
Revelation 20, 21, 22
2 Peter 3:10 ESV
10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed.
