Matthew 22:1-14

Kingdom of Heaven compared to a wedding feast.
Jesus presents Himself as the Son of the King in this parable.
3. Sent forth His servants - the preachers of the Gospel
6. Entreated spitefully - insulted them
two different types of unbelievers - the indifferent and the hostile ones
7. The Lord Jesus Christ
10. Known sinners and those morally correct.

Called - cry out to get their attention

Chosen - having been selected as the best or most appropriate

The called are the called because they didn’t answer.
You know how you keep calling someone because they didn’t answer. You can’t be chosen if you don’t answer.
People that are called
Wishy washy
Sometimy
Inconsistent
Lack anointing
Easily distracted
Afraid
Not walking in your purpose
The Broad Invitation:The "calling" in the verse refers to the general invitation to salvation that is extended to all humanity through the Gospel. This is like the king in the parable inviting everyone to his son's wedding.
The Selective Choice:However, not everyone who is called will respond and be chosen. The parable illustrates this by showing how many guests refuse the invitation, and even those who attend are not necessarily ready. The "chosen" are those who respond in faith and obedience, showing a willingness to accept and live according to God's will.
Emphasis on Response:The phrase emphasizes that salvation is not automatic, but requires a personal response to God's invitation. It's not just about hearing the message, but about actively choosing to accept and follow it.
Sovereignty vs. Free Will:The saying also reflects the balance between God's sovereignty and human free will. God extends the invitation to all, but ultimately, individuals choose whether to respond to that call.

Why did I answer?

Paul’s answer

Paul (Saul) - was a persecutor of God’s people.
As he traveling through Damascus on foot saw a bright light and heard a voice and fell to the ground and was blinded. It was for him not to answer the call after that moment.
Paul as an example - Every time you turn around they were coming against Paul
The more he kept going the more anointing he had. To the point that is handkerchief was able to heal people.
They were trying to kill him - spiritually
They were trying to throw him in jail - bondage
They were trying to shut him up - women shouldn’t be pastors or preaching
2 Corinthians 4:8–9 “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;”
facing difficulties from all directions (troubled, persecuted, cast down), but they remained resilient (not distressed, not in despair, not forsaken, not destroyed) because of their faith and trust in God.

Even though there were people with him he was on the front lines.
Those that were with him didn’t get persecuted like him because it hit hm first.

Isaiah 59:19

When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.
a large number of enemies are approaching quickly and overwhelmingly, similar to how a flood spreads rapidly
The standard is protection or victory
No weapon formed against me shall prosper.

Isaiah 54:15-17

15 If anyone fiercely attacks you it will not be from Me. Whoever attacks you will fall because of you. 16 Listen carefully, I have crated the smith who blows on fire of coals. And who produces a weapon for its purpose. And I have created the destroyer to inflict ruin. 17 No weapon that is formed against you will succeed.
Refining fire - don’t put on a pastors face let my heart be changed
Pure gold

1 Peter 1:6-7

6 In this you rejoice greatly, even though now for a little (season) while, if necessary you have been distressed by various trials. 7 so that the genuineness (trial) of your faith, which is more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested and purified by fire, may be found to result in your praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Gold is a precious metal formed through various geological processes, including hydrothermal - involves the use of hot water, often under high pressure, to dissolve, recrystallize, or transform materials
The processing of gold involves extracting it from ore, separating it from other materials, and refining it to achieve a high level of purity,
1. Extraction and Preparation: - the gold is hidden by the surrounding rock
Crushing and Grinding: Gold ore is first crushed and ground into smaller pieces to release the gold particles from the surrounding rock.
Concentration: The crushed ore is then processed to concentrate the gold. This can be done through methods like gravity (weight) separation
2. Gold Recovery:
Cyanidation: A common method involves dissolving gold in a cyanide solution, which then separates the gold from other materials
Amalgamation: In this process, mercury is used to bond with gold particles, allowing them to be separated from the ore
Gravity Separation: This method utilizes water and gravity to separate denser (heavier) gold particles from lighter materials
3. Refining and Purification:
Smelting:.The concentrated gold is then smelted to remove impurities and form a gold-rich alloy.
Refining: Further refining methods like electrolysis, chlorination, or acid leaching are used to achieve high purity, typically 99.99%.
4. Production of Gold Products:
Molding: The purified gold is then cast into bars or other forms for commercial applications.
